I ordered some items from Easylife which arrived and were ok. A week later a phone call from a call centre sounded Indian asking if we would join the Easylife car maintenance club which we gave a definite no answer. A week later a document arrived for which we were charged £1.99 and a further £69 was deducted from my purchasing credit card. Phoned the 0800 number. Same Asian call center said the payment would be refunded (refused to provide any record of the call). Next month another £69 taken. In the end I talked to Credit Card supplier. They said there is a small tick box on the order form and if you do not tick you are automatically joined to the maintenance club. They agreed it was legal fraud and payed me the money back and stopped further payments. LOOK FOR THE TICK BOX IF YOU ARE ORDERING FROM THIS COMPANY, BUYER BEWARE!

Tip for consumers:
When ordering goods look for the tick box offering other schemes and contracts with a monthly charge. Use it to say no to any offers.
