If it was possible to give a negative star rating I would have gone with a -3!

We bought a 2020 Hyundai Pallisade a month ago. Approximately a week after purchasing, we slid backwards and sideways down a steep hill leaving us teetering over a ravine. We needed to be pulled out as it was so icy we could not get traction. After being rescued, the car had numerous warning lights and the steering was not right. We promptly took the car back to the dealer for repairs. Diagnosis was the tie-rod was bent causing sensors to be tripped.
Our brand new car has now been in the shop 3 weeks with still no estimate as to when we will have our car back. We have been dodged by service, Bill-service manager, and Jason-unsure of Jason's title but was told he was Bill's boss. Every time we call, the person we need to speak to is at lunch and they either do not call us back or wait until the end of the day. We have spent so many hours on hold, waiting for calls back, being transferred to Bill, just to get his voice mail after one ring and no return call. The service department has told us that it is a new line for Hyundai and no one knows how to work on our car. Apparently the hold up is they are having to call Hyundai so they can try to walk them through the repairs.
WHY? Why is a dealership as large as Simmons Rockwell selling cars that they haven't taught their service department to work on?
It is now 2 days after Christmas, and we have had plans to visit family back in Michigan but we still have no vehicle, no estimate on when our vehicle will be finished, our calls are still being dodged and ignored. We have requested that we be given a loaner vehicle (We were told when we purchased the car that ANYTIME our car was in the shop we would be given a loaner) they will only offer us their "discount" at Enterprise.
We are just so frustrated at this point! We spent almost $50,000 on this car only to drive it for a week then to find out that no one knows how to repair it!
DO NOT BUY FROM SIMMONS ROCKWELL! Their customer service is TERRIBLE!
DO NOT BUY A PALLISADE! We did enjoy driving the car for a week, but if you are interested wait a few years to buy one! Give them some time to learn how to work on them!
At this point if we don't get somewhere soon with this crummy situation, we will be forced to have our lawyer look into and see if we can get rid of this car!
