Purchased a WestJet ticket from PDX to YEG in June. After 5 days received an email " Important changes to your upcoming WestJet flight" indicating that i must stay one night in Minneapolis and arrive on Monday instead of Sunday. I did not accept the change and nor the WestJet Travel bank money. I had to purchase another ticket to arrive on time, about $400 more. The email clearly indicated that further information would be sent to get the full refund. I received the same email 4 times. I never got that information even after 3 weeks past the flight date. I called WestJet, after 75 minutes of wait time, and 15 minutes of discussion the agent told me you must accept the WestJet travel money and they will not refund it to the original form of payment. After my call although I had not accepted the WestJet money, they sent me an email (that can not be replied) that the credit is available as WestJet money.

Be aware that they do not honour their own return policy. Requested the return postal label Before the 30 days deadline for the package with 5 emails over two weeks span. I did not receive any response. The purchase was not clearance item nor final sale. I have wasted over $131 and do not know what to do with the package. Note that the return policy says that the return must be authorized by them.

Although the confirmation email to me showed the total in Canadian dollar, my credit card was charged in US dollar without my authorization. Resulted an overcharge to my credit card. Wasted more than 40 minutes with an agent and her supervisor with no success.

Agent who you spoke with advised you a request to have a refund of the seat assignment fee has been made. Please note that the refund has now been processed and you should be receiving the $23.90 in the next 2-10 business days.

I could have given Zero star if the site had not selected one for me. The prices on Hotelpower.com can not be trusted. After I completed credit card information and booked, received a notification that something went wrong and I should call their 1-866 number. They wasted my time fon the phone for another 20 minutes. They did not honor the price they had posted. My credit card was charged and then refunded. It was a mess. Stay away from this site.
