I have a refrigerator that's model is included in this class action lawsuit. The compressor recently broke and I have been in contact with LG for the last 5 days. They have advised that I would have to pay for the repair but that the compressor was under warranty for 10 years. They provided me with the name of an LG contracted servicer. I was going to have to pay for the installation which was quoted around $750 and $800. However, LG would pay for the compressor.

After 5 days of calling LG to follow up on the Letter of Authorization that the service provider needed, I have gotten no where. Everyday I call and everyday I am told the same thing. But there is no follow through.
At this point I have on day 6 with no fridge, I had to throw all my food away, and I am having to eat out. I continue to get the run around.

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS!

Products used:
A $4000 refrigerator broke 3 years after purchase. Supposedly the compressor is included in a 10 year warranty. However, every day I call and get the same response from customer service department that it will take 72 hours, then 5 days, then up to 2 weeks.
