Fourth of JULY! Check it out here; http://www.usa.gov/Topics/Independence_Day.shtml The site gives you the full history of the fourth of july as well as the usual government... be safe with fireworks lines. The USA.gov site really is a good portal for many different things. Check it out
I don't really care much for the handcrafted jewelry-- but the woodworking is really good work. For anyone who is into carving and solid wood furniture they seem to have a nice selection. Rare these days for anyone to sell hand carved furniture with mass market Ikea everywhere destroying the market for wood carvers.
If you are old and you remember that video games used to be based only in text, you will remember Zork. Infocom has kindly allowed us to download all of their old school games for free. Go ahead and show this to your kids and tell them this is where it all started. Sure now they play world of warcraft and can't understand the concept of a text based game--show em how it all begin. Here is a link to download the games directly.

LifeHacker: the name says it all. Hack your life and become more efficient. I won't go into detail on why you should bookmark this site and check it out often, but just use this link and see the best of 2009. Really cool $#@! (sitejabber slang)

The WYSISYG method of creating email newsletters is simple enough for anyone to use and it also supports HTML if you know how to code. I have used this as a newsletter service for my business and can say it is very easy to use.
Great hangout place for photographers and amateur photographers. We mostly talk about equipment on this site and there is not much actual discussion of photography or techniques. I usually go here before I buy a new lens or camera to hear what other photographers think of the equipment before I spend my money.
There are only a few websites I visit when I'm looking to buy a new consumer electronic item... tigerdirect, newegg and dell. Newegg routinely has some of the best and cheapest deals. I highly recommend bookmarking this site and so when you need to buy that new camera or MP3 player, check out this site.
Some of my photos here I posted on sitejabber photography http://www.sitejabber.com/photography/critiques are done with the DP1. I like the camera, but still prefer shooting with a DSLR. I would say this camera is good for DSLR users who want a compact when they don't want their "real" camera. This camera is too complicated for the average point and shoot user.
If you don't use HDR for landscapes you are missing out - I do mostly portraits, but occassionally when I travel I shoot landscapes. This software is simply amazing. Just check it out, and it is better than the competition or photoshop for this type of imaging. I actually can't believe photoshop CS4 doesn't offer something like this built in to their software because the results are so amazing, maybe someday adobe will buy these guys out, but until then you definitely should check out this software. The only thing is you NEED to carry a tripod with you at all times or this HDR type of shooting doesn't work. But the results are so amazing it is worth it.
Nice site that tells you where you can fish for barramundi when in australia. Owner is nice and will contact you with details of fishing specifics
FREE PHOTOSHOP and other software programs - okay I know this is probably really bad, but you can get all sorts of free software off of this site. Just download it and do a search for photoshop CS2 hack and you will easily get your own version of photoshop. Just follow the instructions and keep your fingers crossed. I would probably do this search on a laptop or PC that is older just in case you accidentally download a virus or something by mistake. It takes a little bit of work, but you can pretty much get any graphic arts software for free from this site.
Free photoshop plug ins - I have been using this site to get all of my PS CS3 plug ins. Most are actually somewhat like shareware rather than being completely free, but they have some good stuff on the site.
When the internet advances more quickly than our laws we end up with sites like this. They call this an "auction". The definition of an auction in the US is "the public sale of something to the highest bidder". This website is not an auction, but rather a gambling website where people buy cheap tokens in hopes of winning an expensive item. The are skirting the gambling laws that prohibit online gambling in the US and instead are getting away with calling these things auctions. Site is very misleading as they should not be allowed to use the word auction to describe their website. They should be forced to tell the public that this is a gambling/slot machine website. I have no doubt some people do win, but I have an issue with how the site portrays itself
When looking for legit retailers you guys may want to take a general note that URLS that use the brand name in the URL are probably fake and just looking to SEO out that brand name and possibly scam you. Not true all of the time but it appears from what I have seen here that it is true the majority of the time.
Guys, get a clue... this site is meant to rip people off. Sometimes if a price is so low that it seems like a dream come true, then you know you are about to get screwed. This site is an obvious scam with the usual bait and switch tactics.
If you are shopping for photography equipment and you want a rock solid deal, then stick with BHphotovideo or Adorama, I think both have received great reviews here on SiteJabber. The only other place I have sometimes found killers deals on photography equipment is Dell of all places. If you are on Dell's email list, they often send out 20% off coupons and you can use them on camera equipment. Believe it or not I used my 20% off Dell coupon to by my Canon 5D for 20% off... NOBODY was able to beat that deal.
