This company is running a scam! I ordered a cpap for my fiance for Christmas. We live in the UK but I wanted to give the business to an American company - big mistake. First of all, the seller should not let you purchase any of their products without advising that you MUST provide a prescription. Because this was going to be a gift for someone else, I wasn't aware that cpap machines require prescriptions.
Fine, my mistake. After I placed the order the company called me and asked for a prescription. I was able to supply this even though the prescription was written in the UK. The next email informed me that the prescription I submitted didn't match the travel cpap I had ordered. My options:
1) upgrade my order to a different cpap which cost $200 more
2) cancel the order and pay 15 percent restocking fee for an item which had never even left the shelf to be delivered to me!
In the meantime, I saw that my credit card had been charged for the full amount of the product which the company told me I could not order. I promptly contacted my credit card company and explained the situation, after which they refused to accept the charges. Five months later, 1800cpap.com is still calling my house and harassing me and my family. I urge you not to do business with them and save yourself hours of unnecessary hassle and money.
