What a wonderful shopping experience! It felt like going to my LQS but I could purchase everything online. My fabric was perfectly wrapped and the cuts were true. I felt like the owner of the store cared for my fabric order as if it was for her own stash.

Not sure if the fabric was wrinkled in transit due to packaging or came that way from the manufacturer. I had to iron out each piece. I liked the selection on FQS site and was willing to pay a premium (lots of cheaper online fabric options) because they had everything I wanted in one shopping cart. But the experience was not great due to quality of what I received. So I overpaid and had to iron out the wrinkles.

Hawthorne has been around forever so they are usually the first place you check. I like their real-time inventory, only a few online fabric stores do that. But even though I ordered what was listed, they ran out of inventory. So I didn't have the best experience. If you say there are X yards available then you should have X available. I hate getting the email saying "we don't have what you ordered" because that costs a few days and I usually order my fabric right when I need it.

My fabric was poorly cut & folded. The cut was crooked and I got less fabric than I purchased. The fabric was also super wrinkly due to bad packaging. Lots of better options for modern quilting fabric out there than fabric.com.
