Once you are signed on to Straight Talk, your service is pretty seamless. But, GOOD LUCK getting a Bring Your Own Phone Plan to WORK! Like one of the other posts here, they insisted I was trying to register two phones on one activation package (which I was not) they told me the phone was not eligible for activation (which it was), they told me they were working on it and it would take 25 hours from our conversation (three times), then told me that they had to send a NEW SIM Card, after I just purchased one. And, I would have to contact my old provider so I didn't lose my phone number! When I said, wait a minuteā¦ you transferred my number to StraightTalk, you have it, they said, OH, then we need to get you over to troubleshooting. They will have to do a few things to get your phone up and running. And, by the way, I had to pay $63 for the activation kit, plus ANOTHER $7.41 for another activation code, since they said the first one didn't work.
Good news is, they finally (after 4 days) got the phone up and running. But here's the next battle. It says "save money by enrolling in "auto-refill". Which is not a savingsā¦ it is exactly what it would cost over the counter. So I called, and was told "that offer expired in March". Still on the website though! Not worth fighting for $3 a month.
