Purchase of a refrigerator was made on November 24 2016 online. To date it has not been received and Kmart is refusing to provide proof of delivery. On November 24,2016 I made a purchase of a refrigerator online. The refrigerator was promised on November 28 and then the date kept changing, it changed to December 1 then 5 and so on until it got to the the 13th. During this time I had to make several phone calls and several chats to find out the status of the delivery because I never received an email or phone call from them except when I contacted them. The item was to have been delivered to Tropical Shipping in Miami. On Wednesday 14 December I noticed that online the status had been changed to 'Delivered'. When I contacted Tropical they indicated that they had not received any item on my behalf. I phoned Kmart once again whose CSR told me that I would now have to deal with delivery since the matter had now been turned over to them and I was provided a phone number. For over a week I have been calling the delivery number and it just rings busy. I contacted Kmart again via online chat on Monday 19 December 2016 and as usual I was told by the CSR that someone would contact me in 1 hour. After almost 2 hours had passed and no one contacted me I once again reached out to them, this time by telephone. The CSR connected me to delivery who was unable to confirm that the item had indded been delivered. She said they will look into it and that she would bring the matter to the attention of her supervisor. Once again I was promised that someone would contact me, I have received neither phone call nor email. For over a week now I have been asking them for proof of delivery since they say that it has been delivered and they have been unable to provide me with that. I have said to them that someone must have signed for the item so please provide me with some proof of receipt. In response I have been told, "we have no proof", "we will look into it from the back end", "you need to call delivery", "we have no doc number" among other excuses. I have requested that I be refunded if I cannot get the item. I was told that before request for a refund begins they would have to look in the warehouse to be sure that the item was not there and that they would let me know in about 3-5 days. It has been 7 days now and I have not received an email or phone call from them and it is not in my junk mail because I have been checking that. Despite numerous phone calls and online chats no one can provide me with proof of delivery. If I cannot get the item I need to be refunded so that I can make a purchase elsewhere but I don't think it's right for them to have the item and still my money.
