All: Please don't order anything through vidalpets.com. I erred. I needed something for an animal and usually order it through petmeds. The reason I switched was because the cost from vidalpets was 1/2 the cost. I forgot the adage, "If it seems to good to be true, it is."

I placed an order and rec'd confirmation in my email. Everything looked okay but it was not.
At some point, I emailed them and some thing said the order was being processed. It wasn't - they lied (as a fraudulent company would). I got in touch with my cc company and disputed the foreign fee and the charge for the product.

Vidal pets sent me an email stating they'd remove the charges. I said I already had them removed and would do what I could to ensure no one else was would be nailed by the company. This went back and forth where they defended their company. It was all a hoax.

What concerns me *******@one month after this, my cc company said my data was compromised and the credit company had to issue me a new card due to suspicious
Activity. Since all charges to my card have been through companies I used for years without issue and suddenly my information may be compromised?

My lesson learned is if I'm using a new online company, run various searches on them first. I didn't think of even doing this. Don't make the same mistake.

Tip for consumers:
Please, please, please don't use the whatever operation this bogus place is. Make sure you pass the word to your friends.

Oh man... what a joke alldeaf is. I followed it through the years and went on it periodically. Never again. Trolling is obvious as are attacks if you disagree with most people. I watch the patterns. There are the meek who may comment but not say a thing. There are people who actually threaten posters. They are left alone. I was cautioned by the moderator that you need a strong presence to not be pushed off the website. It was a good warning but when facts are stated and you're told you're completely wrong and this continues with the other ignorant people out there, it's not worth it. I made a statement about hearingjourney.com being data scrubbed. I was attacked and told it doesn't happen and it would be reported to them. The site does remove comments and reporting the truth doesn't fall under any law. I was cautioning people about the validity of information on the website. I was in IT for a lifetime and know how to follow website control.

There used to be a list of deaf/hard of hearing websites and the sites were rated (it appeared to be with unbiased remarks). Alldeaf was near the bottom of the list as a "do not bother going there." If you're deaf or hard of hearing, give it a try but my focus on the internet has been to clear up misinformation out there, so alldeaf is not where I'm going to go.

Websites and the contents posted belong to the company that owns it. They set the rules. I've gone on it on and off (mostly off) for about three years. I go on it for a while, get a demerit for posting something. I may continue using it (I'm old enough to not care about demerits) and ultimately and consistently get fed up with it and quit.

I was given a demerit yesterday. Part of the reason was due to not staying on subject in the thread. Another part of the reason was something about religion. The reality:
1) I responded to people who took the original post and turned it into something it was not really related. I stated in my responses (and there were many) that the commenter was not writing anything related to the topic and I was going to reel the comment in and segue it to the post.
2) The next response to the post (the OP asked if homosexuality was an abnormality) was about God and sin. My posts were on later pages. The religious comment was left with many people responding to it. They were left.

I went on the following day and told the inconsistent moderator other posts (like the first religious response) should be removed as well. I also attempted to remove my other posts. It was enough and I had a memory of why I stayed off city-data. So, I told them they should get rid of my ID and delete my posts.

If the moderators were consistent, it wouldn't matter. But they appeared to take a dart and toss it at my clean and factual responses. Free speech isn't the issue because they're allowed to control the site as they see fit but they're doing a poor job at it and have done a poor job.

They don't like attacks or name-calling and that's prevalent throughout.
