Had ADT for 8 years in Chicago -- they were at the 4.5 level; stopped using them in 2017 because I moved. Moved to Indiana this summer in 2022, and all I can say is, they sold out and totally commercialized themselves, and have become WAY more about the monthly fee (their annuity cash-flow stream) and add-on features through, as ever, their tiresome phone app, than actual service or keeping the client safe. It's IMPOSSIBLE to get a live person on the phone for service, installation questions or issues without a 30+ minute hold, while, in a guaranteed-to-drive-you-nuts move, their moronic marketing department forces you to listen to the even more moronic Property Brothers from HGTV fame (who aren't even American, give me a break) yammer on and on and on about how great ADT is -- sure it is -- for THEM. They're getting PAID to hype the brand. I, on the other hand, am NOT getting paid to LISTEN to their trite drivel, and would rather have muzak or the old 15-seconds phone beeps, than the verbal diarrhea of the property twins, every time I have to call. They also texted me about 6 or 7 times to reconfirm, yet again, their darned appointment (worse than the dentist), and brought the wrong equipment. I had hugely stressed to the sales person that I did NOT, DID NOT want a door keypad that connected to the internet in any way, including via their phone app (per my brother in law enforcement; another way to get hacked and he's seen it happen), so of course, that's exactly what they brought. Turns out, they don't sell a true, plain ol' door keypad that doesn't have a "smart" (as if) chip in it -- could have saved me massive aggravation, text-responding, and time, if they'd just been honest upfront. Their quality had sunk to about 1.5 stars, and when the contract is up, I will NOT be renewing.

Products used:
security system --NOT the door keypad

Amazon fulfillment or the book provider, not sure which, used UPS for a book delivery, and UPS stinks. Despite written instructions on the label, as part of the address, and despite signs on the front door (where he delivered it), saying to NOT deliver to the front door; to deliver to the garage door, the driver just ignored me when I went racing out the door to tell him (normal voice, twice) to please deliver it to the garage door, as the instructions say, and kept walking back to the truck. I do NOT want stuff delivered to the front door, and have permanent signs on it to that effect, because the apartment dwellers across the street race out and snatch packages off my front porch, if left for more than 10 minutes. It was only when I called after him that, fine, I'll just file a complaint, that he turned around and said to stop yelling at him -- that he was "not an animal." Oh, please. As if anyone said he was -- talk about an over-reacting, lame "defense" of not doing his job properly, and then trying to ignore me when I caught him shirking his responsibility. If he hadn't kept ignoring my normal-voiced request, I wouldn't have had to raise my voice to get his attention. Duh. Still wouldn't acknowledge that he was too lazy to deliver it to the garage, an extra 10 feet down the tarmac -- either that, or he can't read. DO NOT order products from Amazon if the vendor is still using crappy UPS to deliver it. Amazon's own truck drivers deliver to the garage -- not UPS.

Walmart is in the dark ages of the last century with regard to its third-party-vendors and any returns -- buyer beware, for sure! Unlike the gold standard, Amazon, you cannot go onto the Walmart site and generate a return label, slap it on the box, ship it back via UPS, and get instant credit to your credit card when UPS registers the box. Unbelievably, stupid Walmart makes you CALL the third party vendor directly, yourself, and handle it all, yourself -- you are decidedly "cut loose" by this crappy "so long, sucker" Walmart website and its third-party returns handling. Want to return it to a Walmart store? Fuggeddaboudit. They point-blank refuse. Steer clear and go to Amazon instead! And they wonder why Amazon is eating their lunch! Duh!
