THIS MORNING: 8/29/16, - Website donnaplay.com advertises FREE CONTENT, then once in, they promise 5 days trial. Once in, they did not have the content they showed me they had before I signed up. I cancelled immediately. Had to go through a song and dance to get it done. Then 24 hours later they send another e-mail new terms much cheaper. They have a "continue" button when clicked nothing happens. It does state, if the continue button does not work put this link into your browser. I did. Turns out that by clicking on the link it is an automatic re-buy, but this time they immediately charged me $9.99. I spoke to a rep/agent, who kept saying the same thing I owe 10 dollars, I told them not to touch my account. They kept to the script. Finally they said I would be refunded the money but it could take 21 days. I am not a happy camper, and after reading the complaints here I now have to worry about them charging my account ad nauseum.
UPDATE: SAME DAY. AFTERNOON.
Received a call from my bank, telling me that they froze my card, as there appeared to be a suspicious activity. They informed me that DonnaPlay not only tried to charge the full fee for the earlier charge this morning, BUT THEY HAD ALSO ATTEMPTED TO CHARGE MY CARD THE DAY BEFORE, ALTHOUGH THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD NOT, SINCE IT WAS FREE FOR FIVE DAYS.
I am keeping this financial institution... d :o)

OK, I may be a bit biased, as I have been a member of Virtual tourist for seven years now, and it is simply the best travel site out there. What makes it a unique place, aside from the great fellow members, - is the VT Staff. Involved, open, helpful and they are known by the members involved employees, who interact with the members on a daily basis. Using a airline lingo, if the umbrella company TripAdvisor is coach, then Virtual Tourist is 1st Class. On TA, you do not really know who's advise you are reading. On Virtual Tourist, the active and helpful members have their own travel pages and if you receive advise from one of them, you can then review their travel pages, and see what kind of person responded to your questions. The VT forums (fora), are simply better than any other such site. Why do I say that? Well, because I am a big part of the forum family there. After visiting 150+ countries, I do have some stuff that might help other travelers. Even so, if I decide to take off to anyplace, including where I have already been, I will get updates from my friends on VT. The most unique aspect though, is that at any given time there are VT meets all over the world, including an annual Euro Meet, visited in the past by several hundred members. Personally I have met several dozen members, and they are all good friends now.
