You are correct, anyone can register for free on BecomeAnEX.org. We are proud to have helped more than 900,000 users on their quit smoking journey since 2008.
You are also correct that we use cookies; this is to ensure users have the best experience on the site.
It is not correct that the site has no security. We use SSL to protect any information users submit.
Members are responsible for the information they make publicly available in the EX Community and that they share publicly in their profile.
It entirely up to each individual user how they choose to track their quitting journey; some members reset their quit dates on the site if they resume smoking, some members do not.
I became the EX Community Manager in late 2015, and play an active role in the Community. Since you last visited, the EX Community has moved to a new, modern platform. There are many more ways for users to participate and contribute. I invite you to come back to BecomeAnEX and check us out!
