We purchased 5 flight tickets via Travelzoo which turned out to be a scam - resulting in us losing the flights and the money. Went to Travelzoo's offices in London to enquire and they told us they are aware of the hacking (was the 18th case) but they're not actively doing anything to stop/warn/prevent this from happening going forward.

We're really sorry that you were recently scammed by a website purporting to be representing Travelzoo.
I believe it was your parents who spoke to one of our colleagues at our office in London; he advised that we were aware of the site but were working hard via our lawyers to have it taken down. I'm not sure were the figure of 18 comes from though.
