I was transferred to an apple specialist from AT&T, who was unable to get a signal on my new iPhone. I could tell from the start that she was not knowledgeable because she kept referring back to apple's cheat sheets. We got disconnected, and the next agent asked "surely you know how to do that," which I felt was quite demeaning. I told here that and she tried to apologize but the damage was done. She couldn't help me, so I'm off to the AT&T store tomorrow morning!

I visited today to expressly use a $5, and $10 certificate. Unfortunately I had not recognized that Outlook prevented download of pictures and the bar code for both certificates were not visible (I'll own that). I was able to find the $10 .email with the bar code. The register attendant got annoyed when I could not find the $5 coupon email. It looks to me if you see a $10 certificate is valid, why would the $5 not be, and simply do an over-ride. He told me if I found the email to come back within 2 weeks and it would be credited.

1. It's not worth my time to go back to the store (20 mins away) for a $5 discount. I consider it a lost cause at this point.
2. This young man has no inkling of negotiating with a customer, even when one certificate (larger at that) was found.
3. There is an OfficeMax which is located 2 stores down, which will serve well to purchased ink cartridges.

Today, BestBuy lost a very valuable purchaser over a trivial matter.

I went into this with hesitancy but kept hearing they do a nice job with high tuning of resumes. The site ensured one would increase job interview increases, but I saw no difference between my previous resume and Doostang resume.

The agent was pleasant enough, but was unable to get my iPhone to receive a signal. He transferred me to an apple specialist who was of less help. They have mad the process of upgrading phone ridiculous!

I signed up and was never able to sign on, even with the email help they provide. I finally spoke to a customer service representative who claimed she cancelled my account. A month later I was reviewing my credit card statement and there was a 6-month charge on my card. What a scam company. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau!

Mail Deliverer doesn't ring my apartment buzzer to inform me I have a package, and puts a delivery notice that I have to go to the Rogers Park post office to pick up my parcel. This has occurred AT LEAST 4 time, and I filed a report with the post office and nothing came of that. I have quite using USPS for my eBay dealings and now use The UPS Store.

Sorry USPS, major fail for this customer!

I submitted my resume and cover letter to advertisers on Beyond and got not even one call back or interview. I am highly qualified and met the minimum requirements of all the jobs I posted to, never to hear from them again.

Beyond could make it a stipulation that employers respond to all applicants of a job!

As a former HR professional, I had the most egregious interview with Bob at the 3346 N Western Ave, Chicago store (shift lead role) yesterday.

From the beginning of the interview, he said "I don't know why Im interviewing you" no less than 4 times. He asked me what brought me to Chicago and then said I had qualification over those for this position. From the beginning of the interview he continued to relate my experience with his wife's employment situation. I nailed the managerial questions, and then there were questions he said "oh, I don't have to ask you this."

As a job seeker, I am as equally evaluating the company I am interviewing with, as well as being interviewed by the employer. I feel like I had no chance from the start, which is a very unpleasant place to be. I expect better than this! My valuable time was wasted!

I purchased a rolling 2-tier bookcase from the Skokie, IL store (should have been leery of the re-taped end) and the instructions fundamentally show how to install, but there are pieces with certain nuisances that had to be installed first, and one piece of hardware was unusable, until I got out a pair of pliers and bent it back correctly.

Yes, I should have repackaged everything and gone back to the store (a 20 min ride), but it was hardly worth it, A simple task took 3 hours to complete.

I purchased a Chicago clock from the merchant and the directions were insufficient to complete the installation of the clock. An email to customer service was inadequate! Buyer beware!

I recently purca hased a relatively expensive PC from Busy Buy and got a geeksquad warranty. I had data transferred from my struggling old PC to the new PC and the process went less than smooth. I had to return to the store (30 min drive) twice and use geeksquad online twice, and FINALLY had to schedule an in person geek squad appointment to resolve all the issues. I truly have a lack of faith in geek squad and in the future will look into other alternatives.

I successfully passed three phone interviews, and a 4th in-person interview was scheduled in town. I took public transportation to get there (~1 hr) and arrived 30 mins early. A message was left with the interviewer, and at the appointed time asked security to call up again. It was later learned that the person I was to interview with had a sick child that morning, and had asked the recruiter to contact me to reschedule. I never got a message and wasted an entire morning commuting and waiting on one interview. I finally got a half-assed apology via email from the recruiter mid-afternoon.I rescheduled the interview and it went really well, but I did not hear back for over 3 weeks, at which time I was told the position was placed on hold. One would think that a candidate who had made it through to both hiring managers with great feedback would have been called and told this information, rather than having to call this. If the company operates in any fashion as the recruiting practice, I am probably lucky I did not end up working for a dysfunctional company.

I woke up to find no internet connectivity. I called RCN and they said my last payment was denied by the bank. Ok, I calmly call my bank and they researched the issues and told me no payment request was received from RCN on the date RCN quoted. So I pay off the outstanding balance and had a one hour delay getting services running. I verified the checking account that was to be drafted and it was correct in their system.

One positive, the last RCN agent I talked to was able to restore my cable serve by having me manipulate the modem. However, the 1-star rating is for the billing transaction error.

I discovered this morning that the Window's key on my keyboard was not working. I spoke with an agent who had to elevate the problem as it "as over her head." I had to go into the city, so left GS working on this issue. I got a phone call roughly 2 hours later that the problem had been corrected.

Only to get home and not able to open Outlook, so I had to have another remote session conducted on my PC. I again had to leave the PC unattended, and came back and it was finally correct. At this point, I have very little faith in Geek Squad, and will consider other alternatives when my 1-year contract runs out.
