The business of photography for future pros - This is the perfect starting place for amateur photographer who want to turn pro. Meaning they want to quit their day job and become a professional. I have tried to make some money in the past in photography, but I never aspired to make a living off of it. My goal was to only make enough money to afford buying all of my prime lenses. I found this site and it does have some great lessons for those wishing to make some money off photography

great resource for anyone buying OTC drugs at the pharmacy - People don't realize that OTC (over the counter) drugs like cold medications really can have many side effects and problems associated with them. In fact, older drugs like aspirin probably wouldn't even make it through the FDA process today to be sold OTC due to its many adverse effects. This website is dedicated to educating consumers about the overall safety of OTC drugs and does a great job at doing this. This information is available at other sources, but this site has a an easy to use user interface that I think consumers will appreciate.

very personable photographer and blogger in SF - I met Carla briefly at the BlogHer conference in SF and she had a very easy and charismatic personality. Being a photographer myself, I can definitely appreciate this in a professional photographer. She has a great site and some terrific cards that are available. If you are looking for a portrait photographer in SF, definitely check out her work.

get rid of your excess swag and save the environment - I ran into this company at a recent blog conference and they really have quite an interesting idea. Everyone goes home with tons of swag after a conference and I know I probably have bags and bags of useless swag at home. I usually just throw it out, but you can send it to this company and they give you mysterious points for donating your swag and then they recycle it. Better than dumping it in a landfill. Pretty cool idea...save the environment and I'm sure company profits from this as well.

great company which can streamline your medical office - We have used JMA for years and have been exceptionally pleased with them. They are a great resource and have allowed us to focus more on the business and medical aspects of our office rather than HR issues.

the definitive book on baseball literacy - Dave Martinez is one of the most well versed authors of baseball and he has a book called "The Book of Baseball Literacy" and I have spoken with the author and he has told me he has another book in the works, which is great for baseball fans out there.

great gadget website - one of my favorite sites for new electronic gadgets...easier to find cool new toys on this site than on big sites like cnet.

I use infinityhost.com for all of my sites - They call it a budget / low cost hosting provider, but they really can scale up if needed. I have continued to use them because their control panel is so intuitive and easy to use. Would highly recommend it for anyone.

wonderful physician and beauty expert - I have known Dr. Lin for years and she is an amazing physician in both skin rejuvenation and anti aging techniques. Her office staff is personable and warm. She also invented MDLashFactor and that shows her committment to the world of cosmetic skin care.

ibackup lets me sleep at night - I have many critical files at my business and they need to all be secured offsite just in case. I tried ibackup and have been happy with them so far. However, I have not "needed" the backup files as the #$# has not hit the fan, but I can see my files being backed up and hopefully my data is secured.
Cynergysystems.com

cynergy won the microsoft PhizzPop Design Challenge - I saw Dave Wolf's presentation in SF at the web 2.0 expo and it was very impressive how this company won the microsoft contest to find the top industry leaders in design.

baytechwebdesign custom designed a great site for me (www.kaliaskincare.com) - They are a very reputable firm and I would trust them again to build a website for me. After they give you the quote they stick to it and keep working on your site until it meets your satisfaction. I recommend them all the time to my colleagues. Their design skills are also excellent.

inspiring wedding photography - I have known Michael Soo for years and his artwork is displayed all over my Spa, he is an amazing photographer and his creativity is inspiring. Our clients often marvel at his photos displayed at our center. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any photography work.

sit under a LED light and treat your bald head. - I recently heard that this company may be conducting trials on to whether or not LED light therapy is good for hair growth. There already exists products that make this claim, but nobody has come out with very conclusive studies.
AmbienCR

Much better than the original ambien - I tried the original ambien and sometimes woke up in the middle of the night, the new CR version is great for when you have to travel and change time zones. Just don't take it on the plane especially if you have to wake up in less than 7 hours. Might be useful on those long flights to Europe though.

If you have to try one program, try this one.... - During my medical training, this was the one weight loss program that was universally recommended to me by both patients and physicians. It is not a "quick fix" program and it involves real life style changes along with group support. This is not a fad diet plan (like protein only diets). I would highly recommend this site and program to anyone who is seriously considering losing weight.

wonderful resource for AV knowledge - I first heard of AVSforum when I bought my first front PJ screen from AVScience years ago. The forum is also a useful tool for finding out the latest information on all sorts of AV gear. When I first got into HTPC, this was my main resource for setting up an entire home theater room. Everything from the front projector to the theater seats were all purchased based upon recommendations from this website. Later, when I furnished my office with plasmas and LCD HDTVs, I used the powerbuys off of the website to buy them. I would also highly encourage anyone who is active in the forums here to become an AVS club member, it is well worth the price of admission.

The problem with vitamins, herbs, and supplements purchased at drug stores is that customers do not know the quality control over them. This company has quality ingredients at the proper doses. These products are sold through physicians which does limit their availability to the general public, however that also means that they are giving doses and ingredients that are of higher quality and contain pharmaceutical grade ingredients.

use this if you have a cold - the study at UCLA showed that if you use zicam at the very first sign of a cold you can reduce the duration of the cold by about 2-3 days. But you have to use it every 2 hours and really be consistent with it. And, you have to start almost immediately at the first signs and symptoms. I have recommended this product to all of my patients and friends throughout the years. Get the one that is zinc based and meant for colds.

great magazine for HDTV enthusiasts - This is one of the better magazines for HDTV junkies. It has reviews of the latest HDTVs as well as furniture and other equipment to build a home theater. If you are thinking of installing a home theater, I'd recommend reading this magazine for a few months first before you buy and then decide on all of the equipment that you are going to get. You don't want to embark upon something like this blindly. Reading this magazine combined with reading tips from users posted online is the best way to build the perfect home theater.
