Physician, photographer, and tech junkie
I can help people discover health care websites, consumer electronics, photography, and beauty sites
photography, health, MMOs, cooking, consumer electronics
When you buy wine online you need to be sure that the company is actually storing the wine properly as you cannot see the bottles in advance and you want to make sure the shipping is also done well and packaged properly so the wine arrives in good shape. This company does a great job of shipping and the value is also very good. They have a wide selection of wines and if you sign up for their newsletter they send some good deals.
VGchartz gives you the statistics of the video game industry and it shows which games are the top sellers. No fancy editorials here telling you which game is the best, it simply says which is making the most money. No surprise Nintendo is cleaning up and dominating the industry once again. I knew when my own mom wanted a wii fit for her workout that Nintendo had really done their job of engaging the non-traditional gamer.
I discovered this website while at a conference for the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and it really is a great concept. Many people take vitamins and supplements, but what they often are paying for is the marketing and packaging of the ingredients. In a typical vitamin pill most of it is actually just filler and not the vitamin... not to mention the bottle itself is expensive to produce. What this company offers is a way to customize an individual's supplements in just a few pills and your doctors can prescribe whatever dosage they recommend for you rather than what the company thinks will sell to the masses. Great concept and well executed.
Great website full of information on adrenal fatigue. Would recommend his book as well for those interested in the subject. Many physicians recommend his products for patients with adrenal fatigue.
Immunize.org is a resource of vaccine information for healthcare professionals. It covers everything from H1N1 vaccines to chickenpox. It is a valuable tool for healthcare providers or consumers with advanced healthcare knowledge to research topics such as " should pregnant women get H1N1". What I really like about this site are the videos. They have an extensive collection of videos on all sorts of vaccine topics.

Tamiflu (oseltamivir phosphate) is one of the anti-viral medications that has been around for awhile. It has gained more public awareness since the outbreak of the swine flu. Tamiflu is used both to prevent and treat flu viruses. What some people do not realize is that if they have a family member that has been diagnosed with the flu, it is possible to take Tamiflu and possibly prevent yourself from getting sick. Read through this website if you think you have the flu or someone close to you has the flu. Remember only a physician can prescribe Tamiflu and you need to take it very early on in the course of the illness for it to be effective.
One day after my new car was driven off the lot, some big truck completely destroyed my front bumper. The car dealer recommended that I take the car to Sunnyvale Collision. The car needed special parts as it was a new model and it had to be special ordered from Germany and Sam took extra special care to make sure the car was restored to factory new condition. He worked with the auto insurance companies to ensure that everything went through smoothly. Getting into an accident is traumatic and I can definitely say that Sunnyvale Collision is a great place to go when that happens.
We buy all of our office supply / food from safeway.com and it is much easier than other online delivery services. Our office buys everything from paper towels to cases of diet coke and they deliver it right to our office. They also will give you free products via email if you order online. The delivery is free and there is no minimum fee. Everyone in the office can easily make their requests and add to the shopping list. Great service!
Great site for information on how to shoot digital video. This site is geared more for the professional or semi-professional shooter. The forum is a wealth of information on everything from lighting equipment to gear.
Great software for your iphone or ipod as you can easily convert youtube videos or basically any video you watch on your PC to an mpeg4 video. All you do is watch the video on your computer while Audials is running in the background and the video is downloaded and automatically converted to mpeg4 for downloading into your iphone. Same feature works for internet radio as well, basically you listen to the internet radio and the MP3 is created automatically.
The business of photography for future pros - This is the perfect starting place for amateur photographer who want to turn pro. Meaning they want to quit their day job and become a professional. I have tried to make some money in the past in photography, but I never aspired to make a living off of it. My goal was to only make enough money to afford buying all of my prime lenses. I found this site and it does have some great lessons for those wishing to make some money off photography
Very personable photographer and blogger in SF - I met Carla briefly at the BlogHer conference in SF and she had a very easy and charismatic personality. Being a photographer myself, I can definitely appreciate this in a professional photographer. She has a great site and some terrific cards that are available. If you are looking for a portrait photographer in SF, definitely check out her work.
Get rid of your excess swag and save the environment - I ran into this company at a recent blog conference and they really have quite an interesting idea. Everyone goes home with tons of swag after a conference and I know I probably have bags and bags of useless swag at home. I usually just throw it out, but you can send it to this company and they give you mysterious points for donating your swag and then they recycle it. Better than dumping it in a landfill. Pretty cool idea... save the environment and I'm sure company profits from this as well.
Ibackup lets me sleep at night - I have many critical files at my business and they need to all be secured offsite just in case. I tried ibackup and have been happy with them so far. However, I have not "needed" the backup files as the #$# has not hit the fan, but I can see my files being backed up and hopefully my data is secured.
Wonderful resource for AV knowledge - I first heard of AVSforum when I bought my first front PJ screen from AVScience years ago. The forum is also a useful tool for finding out the latest information on all sorts of AV gear. When I first got into HTPC, this was my main resource for setting up an entire home theater room. Everything from the front projector to the theater seats were all purchased based upon recommendations from this website. Later, when I furnished my office with plasmas and LCD HDTVs, I used the powerbuys off of the website to buy them. I would also highly encourage anyone who is active in the forums here to become an AVS club member, it is well worth the price of admission.
Best DVD player for your plasma - If you just bought an HDTV, the odds are you are using the wrong DVD player for it. There are many new upscaling DVD players out there by big name brands like sony/toshiba, etc... and they all claim to upscale to HD. The reality is that they have really bad scalers in them and rarely do they do full 1080p. They also often lack the ability to play divx and other types of media.
The Oppo DVD player is on par with DVD players that cost 5 times the price... they include a Faroudja scaler which is usually only found in very high end dvd players (not the cheapy sony/jvc/toshiba... more like Marantz and name brands like that.
Bottom line: oppo has the best bang for the buck DVD player out on the market for HDTVs. Don't waste your money going to circuit city and buying a big name sony dvd player that is vastly inferior to the OPPO units. Just read all of the awards this company has won... they are the best around for the $$$
Diablo, WoW, and starcraft oh my - They have created some of the best games of all time... nobody has been able to touch them in the RTS genre. It is predicted that Blizzard will eventually take over hollywood studios as the gaming market grows.
I recently started to use slack and it is so much more than just a message board. The ability to search, upload documents and share real time is almost like having your co workers right next to you even though they are in other cities.
I have been following and using the zam network of sites for the past 10 years and they are a valuable resource for any MMO gamer. Their sites include Wowhead, Thottbot, and MMOUI. Each of their sites is a respectably run entity where they carefully monitor both spam and advertisements. Content is always original and the community in the forums is always helpful. If you are playing any of the MMOs out there including WOW or Rift you should check out this website and their network of sites.
I was doing a search for Zooey Deschanel and somehow came across Slidebomb.com. Very interesting way to share information around a given subject. You can compile throughout the web images, videos and links around a given topic and easily share it with others. Clearly designed to be viral I hope their efforts pay off and people start using this site.

My package came so fast and quick. My favorite lightsaber and now I bought another lightsaber again.
When dueling my friends where the battery goes that part comes loose and it shuts off my saber,...
