LIKE MANY OTHERS WE HAD TO RESCHEDULE OUR FLIGHTS DUE TO COVID CANCELLATIONS ETC. NO PROBLEM AT FIRST BUT THEN AN OCCASION AROSE WHERE WE WERE ASKED FOR £330.00 TO RESCHEDULE. WE CHALLENGED THIS AS THE ORIGINAL BOOKING STATED THAT CHANGES COULD BE MADE WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CHARGE. WE WERE ADVISED THAT THIS FEE WAS MADE UP OF HANDLING FEE + AIRPORT TAXES AND AIRLINE FEES. UNDER DURESS BECAUSE WE NEEDED THE FLIGHT TICKETS TO APPLY TO UK IMMIGRATION FOR VISA EXTENSION, WE EVENTUALLY PAID UP. SUBSEQUENTLY, WE SPOKE TO QATAR AIR ON AN EXTRANEOUS MATTER AND HAD OCCASION TO RAISE THE MATTER OF THE ADDITIONAL AIRLINE FEES AND AIRPORT TAXES WITH THEM. THEY STATED THAT THEY HAD NOT CHARGED ANY AIRLINE FEES NOR WERE AIRPORT TAXES APPLICABLE. THE QATARI OFFICIAL STATED THAT THE TICKETS WERE ' S' CLASS TICKETS AND CLEARLY SHOWED THAT NO ADDITIONAL AIRLINE FEES OR AIRPORT TAXES WERE CHARGED BY THEM AND THAT DREAM WORLD TRAVEL ' THEY KNOW.'
AFTER 12 MONTHS OF TRYING TO GAIN AN EXPLANATION FROM DREAM WORLD TRAVEL WITH A VIEW TO OBTAINING A REFUND, FINALLY WE HAVE HAD THE COURTESY OF A REPLY...' WE DO NOT REFUND AIRPORT TAXES AND AIRLINE FEES'.
