Legalzoom is still charging me for a business that is no longer in business. I specifically told them a year ago to cancel my services.
I sent four separate emails requesting this cancellation. Today after a year of my last email to them. I received a collections bill for a Registered Agent.
I spoke to Ruth Hernandez from Legalzoom today and she told me that they will keep charging unless I change the Registered Agent myself.
After speaking the Nevada Secretary of State, they were not sure why I was being charged for services on a business that is no longer in business for over a year.
Legalzoom is a scam. Their website specifically states to either call them or email to cancel services. I did just that and I am still being billed.
Hi Robert, we’re very sorry for any misunderstanding or miscommunication on our part. We were also able to confirm your entity status with the state and as a result, we’ll move forward with filing an official resignation of services per your request and remove the account from collections. Please keep in mind that if you ever decide to reinstate your business, you'll need to name a new registered agent. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact help@legalzoom.com.
