Got a random call from a UK number with an American sounding person by the name of Benjamin Scott one day. He wanted me to sign up with only £200 to open a trading account. He said he would manage the account etc. Trading Forex. I said no worries, it sounds good. I paid £200 over the phone. He opened what looked like a genuine account for me, there was a private portal, I could see my name and my deposit etc. He said to watch the account often and I'd see the money growing... what I had not bairgained for was that days latter he started calling to pressurise me to deposit more money, I resisted and said I just could not because I did not have it. He was relentless then called again to say that there was an upcoming event on Friday that the US will be releasing its job report and the position he is about to take will yield lots of profit, he wanted £5000. I said I had none, he said okay his company would lend me the money but I'd have to pay it back at the end of the month. I said okay knowing... I checked the account upon his prompt on Monday and it had yielded over £6000. Very good... I was advised to ask for a withdrawal, he declined the request... that was a sign that it was not kosher or so I was told. He said I had not made any more deposit so I could not get money out. Finally at the end of the month I told him I wanted out, he said okay. We exchanged emails back and forth, he asked for my ID and Bill to facilitate the refund, I provided both, needless to say I never heard back from him. Emails go through to him nut his phone number is dead and he never replies. I also do not have my £200. Please beware.

www.wigsmart.co.uk offered me #50 and asked that I dye the hair, I refused and insisted I get my full refund. PayPal's has advised me that they would give me refund as soon as I send the package and provide a tracking number which they can use to track the package until it is delivered. They also said that I would need to send it to the address PayPal will supply which is the address that the company has provided to PayPal. PayPal was not immediately able to send it to me because the address was in Chinese so they needed to translate it and once translated they will send it to me. I waited a few days and much to my shock they sent an email saying the case was closed and that the tracking number I provided was invalid. I called to query this and the case was reopened. They then supplied me an address in China that was consistent with what the Wigsmart had given me. PayPal also said I had to use one of their preferred the Courier UPS, DHL and one other which I cannot recall. I opted for UPS and once I put the dimensions of the package to obtain a quote on their website, it was going to cost #53.50 to post. I called PayPal to complain, the operator said I could use Parcel Monkey which may be cheaper and that I can use any Parcel Delivery company that can provide a Tracking number. This is different from what I was told in the beginning. I am yet to consult with Parcel Monkey. I paid #7 for postage and packaging and it was delivered by a courier company so why should it cost me anymore than that to send it back? PayPal has offered me a refund of #15 towards my returns cost and a full refund, I hope this will be enough. What I do not understand is why PayPal will continue to do business with this company when there is a history of this sort of Fraud with them. Anyone reading this must ask PayPal to discontinue its association with this company. I have also logged a complaint with Action Fraud. Everyone should do the same. This is the second time I have experienced an issue such as this. The pattern is the same which means it is a tried and tested fraud process. Requesting #7 for P&P would suggest that they have accomplices in mainland Britain posting their orange monstrosity to victims at no real cost but to return it you will have to return it to their "Factory". Hogwash! I will post again to update on Parcel Monkey and the continued Saga with PayPal. The buyer said I should post it by normal postage but what they do not tell you is that once you lodge a claim and you do this, they can claim not to have received it and you would have lost your money because you will no longer be covered by PayPal guarantee. BUYERS BEWARE!

  • Uber

I took an Uber to the hospital but left my expensive cardigan in the car. I contacted the driver immediately from information provided in the app. He confirmed he had the cardigan. He said when he is back in my area he would drop it off. I did not hear back for a while so contacted him again. He said he would drop it off to me but I'd have to pay almost £45 for the trip or he ca drop it off at the Uber offices in Canary Wharf. I then asked he drops it off at Canary wharf. I also asked that he let me know the details I will need to collect the item. My fare to the hospital was £7 by the way. Anyway, the driver whose uber user name is "Abobacar" stopped responding to me. I contacted Uber and they said they had tried to contact him to no avail. So I suggested that they switch his access off to force him to come to the office but they did not respond to that request instead they pretended they could do nothing and that the driver is self employed so there's nothing they can do. I filed a Police report and the Police said they had a duty to resolve the issue on my behalf. I relayed the message to Uber but they declined. A few weeks after, Abobacar contacted them and claimed he was in an accident and that when he got the car back the cardigan was missing. So I asked if his insurance would pay for the missing item, they did not respond to that. The moral of the story is, if you have a problem with an Uber driver Uber will do absolutely nothing to help you resolve it. They appear to have a finders keepers policy. It is disgraceful. I still use Uber but will switch to a competitor as soon as I get a chance to find one. Also, I will send an invoice to Uber as advised by the police. I will follow up with feedback at a later date. Beware of "ABOBACAR" the Uber driver!

I requested an uber, just for a one way trip. The cost of the uber was overpriced. I don't blame...
