I bought a B&H MICRO PLUS RECHARGEABLE As Seen On TV. It works great as a cheap high frequency noise amplifier, low frequencies gone.

You have a form to fill out on a typewriter which is no longer available. Possibly you are required to do this on the piece of paper provided (as by IRS), where you are prevented from simply scanning and using your computer printer to produce an acceptable completed form. This task is well solved by one of the Form Pilot programs from colorpilot.com, which I have used. I was reminded to write this review after reading the review of obsoleteskills.com by Tran N., Trusted Consumer Advocate.

This is a first class outfit which travels around to many local sites doing certain medical screening tests, most valuably to me their inexpensive ultrasound (for abdominal aortic aneurysm and of the carotid arteries) at a tiny fraction of the price at fixed base local firms and hospitals.

Discounts will be readily obtained by a Google search and/or by signing up for the informative Life Line Screening newsletter.

Most important in my opinion is the ultrasound test for one silent killer, the abdominal aortic aneurysm. We know multiple patients who have had such aneurysms. One athletic young tennis pro dropped dead of internal bleedout from a ruptured aortic aneurysm. We know two seniors screened for this condition, found to have these aneurysms and who had stents implanted via a catheter going up an artery from the groin. They were totally cured instead of the generally fatal alternative.

I highly recommend that all patients make use of all the very price/effective screenings offered by Life Line Screening to prevent gratuitous morbidity, fatality and cost to patient.

It is regrettable that inexpensive ultrasound screening is not being more routinely and widely used to screen for ultrasound screenable conditions such as tumors, certain cancers, stones and left ventricular ejection fraction. IMHO this would be of great benefit to cost reduction in the broken US healthcare system as well as to the health of patients.

This is first rate site, found as a Consumer's Reports "other resources" link. Go to this site to look up available prices on prescription drugs, both re-imported brand name and made-in-India (by Ranbaxy, Cipla, Lupin and the many other fine pharmaceutical houses there). Not listed here are the FREE metformin and common antibiotics provided at Publix grocery stores. Also not listed is www.healthwarehouse.com, which has some of the best prices in the US on generics. Avoid using pharmacydiscountnetwork.com, which will lead you to sources having astronomical prices. See my separate review of this outfit. Also do not go near Medicare D, the well obfuscated scam crafted by Billy Tauzin, revolving door former congressman from Louisiana. There is a lot of dis-information, probably coming from BigPharma, on the internet regarding drugs from abroad. A red flag that you are reading dis-information is the word combination "India and China". Current enforcement allows US patients with proper doctor prescriptions to have up to a year's worth of drugs sent to them via common carrier from abroad, provided those drugs are not for resale.

Tip for consumers:
Current rules allow one to obtain 100 days worth of each drug at a time for personal use (not the year's worth as stated in my original review). That causes our family no problem. With regard to pharmacies strictly within the US, a recent Consumer Reports article compares prices. The lowest prices, by far, were at Healthwarehouse and Costco. By comparison CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens had prices which were up to an order of magnitude higher.

I checked out some prices via this site and would conclude that this site is likely a scam by BigPharma and/or the pharmacist organizations to deter the naive and uninformed from finding the really good prices at *www.pharmacychecker.com*. Most, but not all, drugs are least expensive at www.cheapodrugs.com. Like most of the pharmacies in the www.pharmacychecker.com list, www.cheapodrugs.com will meet the lowest price found in this list. I get brand Bristol Myers Squibb 5 mg Olglyza at $173 per #84 and Zetia (a/k/a Ezetrol, Ezitimibe) made by Lupin for $30.60. See for yourself the astronomical prices you are led to by pharmacydiscountnetwork. On some, but not all, drugs you will get the best price at www.healthwarehouse.com. You can get Metformin and a list of common antibiotics FREE at Publix grocery store. On the other off-patent generics, you will get near the best price at Costco and an astronomically higher price at CVS (CVS does not post its prices on the internet - you have to telephone them to find out just how horribly bloated their prices are). Off-patent generics will be cheapest if bought in the US and will generally be much more expensive from abroad.
