I saw reviews for Sun & Ski and it's disappointing when customers frustrated by something outside of a retailers control inflict their wrath with poor reviews about sock quality, UPS delivery, and other things that no retailer could control. I'm very glad I looked passed the star rating to give them a shot, partly influenced by my local store who I visited twice before buying online (PS - Liz in the ski department is an ALL STAR).
I purchased skis from Sun & Ski online not carried in my local store: Nordica Enforcer 94 / 186 cm. I made the purchase 2-days ago, at a KILLER price with two discounts, and the item showed up today. Amazing! My local store is now mounting the skis with bindings bought elsewhere (needed a 16+ DIN) and also helping with a Salomon S/Pro 130 HV boot customization for a small service charge.
My experience with Sun & Ski as an etailer was absolutely fantastic, but when you add the ability to engage with knowledgable staff at my local store -- who all LOVE the sports they serve -- this is an absolutely world-class merchant.
I hope people look past the star ratings, read the reviews that "make sense" and give Sun & Ski their business. The world needs firms like them more than ever and I couldn't be happier with my experience here in Texas. I bet that if you're a weekend warrior athlete like me, you'll love them too!
