I was so excited to receive the 10 handbag box for $90.00. I opened the box and saw some pretty tissue paper covering the top. I dug down and found 5 bags neatly wrapped in tissue. The bags wrapped in tissue were low value target brands made of vinyl. The "better" bags were underneath rolling around the box, unwrapped. Seemed odd. I actually received 11 bags. One went right into the trash as it was a crossbody with broken strap hardware. One was a cheap satin new with tags clutch. 3 were clean vinyl satchels in the $30 new range and in 7/10 condition. One laptop case out of vinyl with a ripped lining 4/10. One white plastic cosmetic giveaway bag, not worth the time to flip it, one madden girl bag with hardened nail polish on lining 4/10.3 actual leather bags with wear so severe that they are 4/10. I'm pretty good at putting lipstick on a pug, but these bags, for $90 have nothing redeeming about them. My local consignment store is likely my only option and I'm sure they won't take most of them. It's not that the bar is set high, it's that this batch of threadup bags is garbage. Just don't do it. The rescue box videos from months ago show some real gems, but that was then and this is now. I understand the rescue box sales are of items that they used to donate but now ship to the unsuspecting resellers. They should stick to stuff they aged out of the website and get some quality back before they tank the whole concept.
