Ordered some of the giant wholesome hide rolls for my dogs, came fast, good prices and no problems. Not a terribly wide selection of products but they do carry some with excellent quality to go along with their excellent service.

Amazon usually does things right the first time. However recently my husband ordered a grooming arm for my dog grooming table which was supposed to come with a clamp. The clamp was missing. I didn't pay attention because I have a shorter arm that has the same clamp, so I just used that. When I realized my new dog is going to need both arms for grooming I asked him to order me a clamp and he said "didn't the new one come with a clamp? It was supposed to!" So sure enough, it was, and we had to file a request for a replacement. The thing is, all the seller would have had to do is send us the clamp. But instead the Amazon return/exchange process wasted money by sending us a whole new one and shipping the one with missing parts back. Why? If this is how Amazon is doing things it is totally wasting people's money. Sure it didn't cost me and didn't inconvenience me except that they showed up to pick up the one I already had, two days before the replacement came, and we said no, you have to bring us the replacement first! But the cost for all this extra freight from such an odd process goes into the system and applies to prices across the board. Just send me the parts I need from one you already have, and defect THAT one of yours out. There has to be a way to eliminate waste there.

We were looking to buy an end table that they carried in store, but we ordered it from site to store where it was cheaper. However, they wouldn't just give us the one from the store, we had to wait two weeks for them to ship a whole different (exactly same) item to the store for us to pick up. Doh. Makes no sense at all. Why would you advertise different prices online vs in store?

I feel bad for everyone who is having problems... I've ordered quite a few times since I discovered them in the last few years with no problems at all. I wonder what is going on? So sorry to hear of others' issues.:-(

I have usually found good deals and have had no problems. Have ordered a couple of times in the last few years from them.

I am not sure what is going on but I keep getting my orders refunded saying the items I ordered are out of stock. I understand that if it says 1 item left or something, it may run out before my item gets processed. But then if they are out of stock how come after it's cancelled sometimes the website still says they're in stock?

They do not respond to inquiries. Their order confirmation emails come as raw HTML code which makes them impossible to read (I did write to them about that too the first time I ordered, theres been no change. That is a very simple probably <5 minute fix.)

Yeah, so they aren't withholding refunds or anything but it seems odd that three times since Jan 2014, I've had my orders just plain cancelled and refunded. I would be glad to patronize their business if I could know I'd get the items I ordered which the site says are in stock. (I have to correct what my review said before - after looking at my account more closely I realize have gotten some items delivered from them in between those three orders). I have been happy with those orders. I just find it odd that some orders get cancelled when their website says they have stuff in stock both before and after cancellation.)

But sometimes if I wait to see if they'll ship, another site that has the items runs out of the item I want, even though they had it at a higher price. I'd rather just pay the extra $ so I can get the items, instead of taking a chance it'll be cancelled again at WigTypes and then not be able to order it elsewhere.

They also seem to do business as Beauty of New York. The physical address is identical and phone #'s are almost identical (in fact I was pretty sure they used to be but now are one number different) and the charges show up with the same ID of "BSOFNYC."

I am wondering if I got blacklisted? But I can't think why that would be. I've never returned anything to them (as if that should be a good reason to do so?). I've never actually received anything from them either. I think I did ask Beauty of New York if they were the same business as WigTypes, so, maybe that got them mad at me somehow? It's not hard to figure out, I kind of did it by accident googling.

Terrible, terrible company. Based in Bloomington IL with I think warehouses or something like that in other states like Faribault MN. A few years ago (June 2012 or so) I made the mistake of ordering from them. For some inconceivable reason the BBB has them listed as A+ instead of the F they should be. The sheer number of complaints listed under its daughter companies should at least give the BBB some pause. But apparently if you can get your money back after a lot of hassle, that counts as a good grade. Go figure. What is the point of the BBB anyway? Maybe the BBB needs an outside review? O. o

Kelly Nurseries sent me dead plants and told me they were dormant. I know dormant plants, they are still flexible and not brittle. I've successfully planted many many dormant plants and shrubs.

I tried to order a couple of mock orange plants. Three weeks after the order, approximately, I had still received no acknowledgement of the order or update on its status. They said "we are working on it" and that was it. It was difficult to get anything out of their customer service.

They finally came very late in June when it was hot. They were completely dry from the heat of a slow method of shipping in early summer in a ventless green plastic bag with no special handling instructions, that was crammed into my mailbox, breaking the plants even more. For $9.99 shipping you'd expect instead they'd use a protective box and an appropriate quicker shipping method. I tried contacting the customer service and they said plant it and give it a good SIX WEEKS to come out of dormancy. Really? Every other dormant plant I get shipped to me is coming out of dormancy and budding in the box, just from *being shipped.*

The trick is though that IF you follow the customer service instructions to plant the stuff, you can never get your money back, because you must return within 14 days or something like that. But if you don't plant, he then complains you didn't give it enough time.

I made the mistake of trying to plant, which didn't work of course. So after a few weeks I contacted them again and they sent me replacement plants which were also dead. By this time its pointless to ask for more replacements and keep wasting my and his time. But he wouldn't give me the money back until I contacted the attorney general to force him to. Then he wouldn't of course return the shipping fees or state sales tax even though he didn't sell me anything at all, really.

I wonder if he then reclaims that tax on items that were returned for refund. Ridiculous. I even calculated the sales tax at about 17%! He only refunded me $6.95 because supposedly shipping some dead sticks in a plastic bag cost him $9.99. That's utterly ludicrous. He's totally scamming both the consumers and the government IMO.

After I had such a bad experience I had gone online and read some other scam and ripoff reporter sites with reviews on this company or the other names under which it does business. Many people had ordered large amounts of trees and shrubs and went through a lot of work to plant them and came up empty handed. I urge people who have done this to contact their attorneys general and get their money back that way. This is unconscionable business practice!

Note that Kelly Nursery also does business under the following names:
Burgess Seed
Direct Gardening
Dutch Gardens
Exciting Gardens
Farmer Seed and Nursery
Four Seasons Nursery
Honeycreek Nurseries
House of Wesley
Inter-State Nurseries
Kelly Nurseries
Plantron, Inc.
Richard Owen Nursery
Royal Dutch

Tip for consumers:
PLEASE contact your attorney general to get your money back from any of these companies that are giving you the runaround. Frankly the government should be investigating them for sales tax fraud too. There's no way any state can charge $1.17 tax on items totaling $6.95.
