UPS sends a "proof of delivery" when they leave a package. How is that proof? Proof would be actually getting the package! I received this so-called proof, but no package. The recourse is to open a claim. Good luck with that! I have spent 2 hours going through setting up a UPS ID and and login and then filling out a claim. Fortunately, the item I lost was inexpensive - I'm just going to move on and forget it. This is not a customer oriented company.
