At the end of July 2019, I purchased a voucher for a Henry Vacuum Cleaner. A few days later I received an email from GoGroopie telling me I hadn't completed the transaction and suggesting I do so. Once again, I purchased a voucher; this time it was more expensive as a discount code used initially was no longer valid. Nonetheless I didn't really think any more about it until I saw my credit card statement had 2 payments to GoGroopie. Clearly the first transaction had completed, or at least GoGroopie had taken and kept the money. Even though I only had one voucher, I had paid twice.
I raised the issue with them but they have been incredibly unhelpful. They repeatedly asked for more information, sometimes asking questions already answered, basically dragging out the issue. Now that they seem to have run out of questions it has gone quiet. They have not provided a refund, an apology, nothing. They no longer even respond to emails.
I would not recommend this company to anyone and certainly won't use them again. I don't know if they are in financial difficulties but it goes beyond incompetence when they have all the information about the issue that they said they needed, and do nothing about it. It certainly seems fraudulent to ask for money when they already have it and then to keep it when it is proven they have no right to it.
