I've been quoted £192 for my handset in "Good" condition, only to be revised down to £90 on receipt of my phone due to supposed "heavy wear", which in my opinion is absolutely false: the device has not a single mark or scratch, has battery in great working condition and has no other sign of damage to justify such a sharp reduction from the original quote. For context, competitors and high street quoted between £130 and £170 having examined the phone, so £90 is substantially below market. Tthe claims of "heavy use" amounting to £102 worth are clearly baseless and were not substantiated by the company. Incidentally they offer no clear way to query this (explicitly instructing that I should seek to neither phone or email them). I can only imagine they'd be inundated with unhappy customers' calls otherwise!

Based on other reviews, WeBuyAnyPhone seem to make a living by luring new business in with an unrealistically high initial quote, later to be revised substantially down even though the phone condition perfectly meets the characteristics of their definition of "Good". No clear rationale for the downgrade is offered, and users are then cajoled into accepting a revised quote which is significantly below market, in a short timeframe.

The unjustified quote revision appears systematic and thus deceit seems intrinsic to the business model of this company, based on my experience. I'd advise anyone to stay miles away from this scheme to protect themselves and their property value.
