While other Nursing programs take in account your quizzes, exams, projects, labs, practicals and clinical, ECPI only grade off of exams and you must have an 80 or above to pass. You can rock out all 100% on everything and bomb one exam or final and your out. The rest is a pass or fail. This system needs to be revamped and looked into. It tells the students that nothing else is important but the exams. We need everything not just the exams. It gives you the feeling that they believe only good exams from the beginning makes a quality nurse instead of molding a good quality nurse. The instructors complain about the program in front of students and even tell us to find a better school. Believe it or not the instructors are not all in agreement with the way the program works. This program is not designed for success. The DON acts as if she cares but she's old and set in her way. She is nice but is full of it. This is a weeding out program no doubt about it. The program is miserable and creates a unhealthy student environment. I met awesome people and made good friends and we all feel the same. The program needs revamping. I wish someone would look into it. Or at least give you the correct materials to study. I hated my experience at Ecpi Raleigh. It was not a good nursing program and this is coming from someone who passed but only because I didn't work, my husband is a nurse who was really my teacher. My mom is a physician who broke things down for me and I don't have children. I am not the ideal student. I watched students loose everything and were way better at things than me fail. I owe my degree to my family not ECPI. I wish I'd went to a different school so that all I did was not just memorize the ATI questions and answers. It was useless and now I'm a nurse who has no school pride or high hopes for my institution. When I meet other ECPI grads I know there not proud of their school. I hate that so much. Your program sucks ECPI. Revamp it and produce nurses and in larger quantities not 7 or 8 at a time. It's not always the students that fail, you all have also failed your students. It's a team effort. And this is why people say your school is a money scam. Please stay away from for profit programs that really just want your money. You'd have better success at Trump university! Scam school!
