7/3/18

This is a review of what it is like to be a former contractor.

First of all, I did apply to be a driver for Uber when I was driving for Lyft. However, my car and I got tired of driving people around and decided to go into another job. Anyway, I deleted my driver account from their app and delete it. Several years later when my license was about to expire. I get harassing emails from them to update their records to update my driver's license. I have already updated my driver's license but I am not going back to their website to do that. Instead, I went to their website to unsubscribe from mailing list. The next day, I get another reminder. Again, use their useless unsubscribe link to get my email address from their email list. This went on for two weeks straight when the website claims that their removal of email process takes 10 business days. Well, my birthday come and went (the day my license expires) and guess what email I got from them? You guessed it: update your expired driver's license on their website. Forget that! I have blocked them from my email account so I will not hear from them again (cross your fingers on that).

I went there to find the leasing department as I was heading towards the end of my lease. When I told the front desk this, they brought out Reza Abniki from Sales. What part of English don't you understand? LEASE not SALES. Anyway, he wanted to get me a great deal for a new lease, which I did at Honda of Los Angeles and ended up paying more monthly on my current lease. Can anyone say "Bait and Switch"? He told me I got a bad deal (duh! That's why I gave them a bad review like I am doing for you guys now) and he was going to try to help me with this one. An hour later into my expected 25 minute information gathering from the LEASING department, Reza told me that the best he could do is knock off $50 off my current lease for an older model car than I have now. Hey buddy! I'm on a budget! How is that helping me? With an unsatisfied look on my face throughout this entire experience, I decided to not even go to their leasing department and go home angry at them for not helping me with my initial request. People, if you have money to burn, go for this place. Otherwise, I got a one word recommendation: Carmax.

UPDATE 2: I got several stalkers on the site, thus prompting me to deactivate my account for a while and reducing my rating of the website even further. The first stalker used different phone numbers to text me after I caught her lying to me about how her account is no longer on the website. The second one is a psycho in that she accused me of publishing her photos without permission. I blocked her texting number and on the website. Since that time, she has set up four other accounts on the site. Damned Chinese website does not protect its male customers from psycho stalkers. That's it, I'm out and rather be single than deal with this drama. Lastly, their support staff allows user to make multiple accounts with different usernames but the same photos. One in particular, I actually communicate and just criticize me for going on this site. Well, excuse me if such racist women don't like certain men and I have to go on this site to go out with I want instead of the left overs on other sites.

UPDATE: Since my initial review, I have seen more escorts/prostituted spamming the site, thus lowering my rating for the lack of Chinese customer service to act upon fake profiles. For example, a user named "Iamkatt" is an BDSM mistress who sells clips of her service and will solicit her service as "Mistresd Katarina" when you go on a date with her. Another is "Yuliijen" who lists her services in her message to you. Another is "KandiQuinnxxx" who ask for money up front to get a motel room for her service (see attached photos as proof before someone flags the truth).

I have been on the site for more than half a year and I have had 10 dates so far. Not POF, not Chemistry.com, not OkCupid, not Match.com, not even eHarmony.com could get me a date on their sites. All but 1 were the people I asked for dates matched their photos on the profile (the other did not look like the pics posted on the profile and had to report the profile as a scam). Otherwise, I like the search feature to filter out whom I am looking for. The only thing I don't like about the site is that males (or sugar daddies) have to pay to read messages. I guess the site has to make money somehow. At least, give the regular members a discount for being on the site for more than 3 months.

Tip for consumers:
Don't under bid for a date. Wink first to see if they provide you an offer you like. If you are on a budget, choose wisely and don't over bid what you can afford. Look at offer made by LanaMarkus. Obviously, she is pricey. This is a dating/sugar baby site so don't expect to get into bed on the first date. Stick with what kind of relationship you are looking for. Otherwise, you might be disappointed with the result. You can't always get instant satisfaction here or any other dating sites.

Like Warren's experience, I tried a site that redirected me to WellHello.com. I tried out their site in the hopes of getting lucky. As soon as I joined, I get bombarded with tons of chats without even setting up a profile. When I did set up the profile, I got bombarded again by the same profiles with the same messages. In my email account used for possible spam sites, I get more than 50 explicit emails a day for sex sites that are gathering in my spam box. What's worse is that for a dollar, you can access all the emails, porn, and chat messages. The ecommerce site will redirect you to an Indian website to capture your credit card information. I did not trust it so I declined. You can't even change your setting on the profile, you can't delete your profile, and they don't have a FAQ about deleting a profile. When you log out, it redirects you to another of their spam sites. Warren and I took one for the team. You have been warn and don't even look into the site.

So, I tried it out to see if I can get some action. Not only did I not get any action, I never got any meetings of any kind. I would reply to profiles and had some talk but no meet and have bedroom fun. So, I decided to let my subscription expire. A couple of days later, I got a reply from one of my older contacts on the site. Wait, you waited for me to no longer be on the site to reply to me? Sounds like a website trick to get people to pay for another subscription in order to see the message. When I logged in, I was able to see it and replied with an email address. Waited a couple of more days and logged back in. Now I can't see the email and back to a basic membership. No reply from the contact and just reaffirms that the site only has fake profiles who bait and switch you for money with unfulfilled promises of getting laid. Saw a lot of swingers profiles of the same group who don't reply back and the website doesn't flag or remove. Don't waste your time and money there like I did.

  • Uplifters Kitchen

UPDATE: One of my co-workers recently went there to get an $11 meal and was charged $13 for asking why she was charged for the wrong price. The cashier then changed the price on the menu board to reflect that but the price listed on website is still $11. They are a bunch of scam artists who don't care for the customers, no matter what skin color they are. All they are interested is cheating you out of your money. Never going to eat there again if I or anyone I know is going to treat me that way.

I had their seasonal Mac and Cheese and it was way too dry. The concept was ok but not my cup of tea unless you like it really baked. I like the Mac and Cheese from Koo Koo Roo; shame there is none on the westside since they closed down in 2013. I wish Uplifters Kitchen would have a list of ingredients on their website and on their chalkboard menu. It was a Good Friday and I was not suppose to eat meat but their Mac and Cheese had sausage. I asked to add eggs to my salad but could not get the eggs poached or boiled. I wished they would list the available options on either menus mentioned previously. Overall, too pricey and probably would not returned. I like to support local businesses but this place is not for me.

This is a review of the Dealership's Service Department website and their online representative. I usually have good experience there, however, this time, I got frustrated with the way they treat their loyal customers. My car needed to be serviced, so I tried to go their website to schedule a time for repairs. For two weeks, the site did not have Fridays or Saturdays available. I work way across town and there was no way I can schedule a weekday service. So, I decided to contact their online representative to see if I can have them do that. Yeah, right! That was not going to happen on their current pay rate. So, when I wanted them to schedule me a weekend and told them of the situation with their website, the representative told me that they will need my contact information in order for their service department to confirm the situation and see if they can schedule a time on the weekend to service my car. So I have to wait until someone contacts me while the local residents have already reserved their appointment time, when the website was functioning as it should. Their website scheduler was probably coded by a 10 year old using 20 year old code and decided not to have it maintained by professionals in order to save profits. If they don't want profit from customers who want to go to their location, they they are doing the right thing by not allowing people access to their service scheduler for weekend days so they can paid days off during those days they don't have any customers at the location.

  • T-Mobile

7/27/17

I got my newest phone at the store at 7164 Beverly Blvd. In Los Angeles. That is the only positive thing of the review I have. The reason I have not added any more stars is my recent experience there. I went there for their T-Mobile Tuesday deal. I have been there before and was able to get their free swag within 5 minutes or even less. This time, there was only one person to mind the store. He was busy with another customer. Since the customer and the customer service representative were both Jewish, as this is a predominately Jewish community, I was waiting there for my free swag for 10 minutes before the representative acknowledge my presence and said that he will get to me as soon as he can as he was getting the customer's iPad working. Why didn't he just ask me if he could assist me with the free swag and determine that what I was there for would only take a minute to complete the task? Those 10 minutes could have used to get closer to work. Since I am not Jewish just like his rhythm-less Jewish customer that will never get his own reality show, I guess I was not important enough for him to even say "Hi" to me as I entered the store. Gentiles, you have been warned.

So, I posted my updated résumé on other legitimate sites to see if I can improve my economic situation. Brad Lythgoe from 24 Seven contacted me about a possible job. I called him up thinking why not and he gave my the info about the company but not the position. He told me the company name and a general idea of who they are looking for. So, I had to do some research on the company and I didn't like what I found. So, I called Brad to tell him I did not like the company's history and current situation. Brad insisted to go on the interview and tell them to be enthusiastic and willing to learn. So, I had the interview and midway through it, the interviewer informed me they wanted someone with more experience in other platforms than what I my résumé had clearly stated. So, the interview was stopped and my gut feeling from the start was confirmed. After that, I did hear from Brad and I pretty much blocked any emails from him or anybody from 24 Seven.

Bottom line: Brad and 24 Seven are only interested in getting their commission by trying to place anyone they can to any company that use their service. They need to do a better job in finding the right people for the right job

Tip for consumers:
If you have not heard of this company, only use legitimate sites. This is not one of them.

  • Culver City Honda

7/13/17

I'd like to tell you a true story. I was looking for a car when I decided to go to Culver City Honda. I went there and took a test drive in two models. I finally decided on one and told the dealer that I have a budget. He was able to get the payment down to an amount I thought I can handle. Being a nice guy, I don't play hardball even though I said I would think about it while I would shop around someplace else to look a different type of car. He got me to settle on the car and I could not complain. Right? Wrong! As soon as I got my first payment from their financial company. I saw that the payment went up a hundred more dollars. What? According to their statement, my debt with revolving credit disqualified me from their loan program. So, I have to pay an addition hundred dollars. So, why couldn't the dealer tell me this when I was there? Easy, commission to get more money. They lied to me to sign on what I thought was a good deal. Now I am stuck with this for three years. Strike one.

Strike Two was when I took the car for my first scheduled maintenance. They got all the stuff done on the car and I paid the bill for their service rendered, including checking for low tire pressure. All ok so far. Right? Wrong! The car's computer told me that I still had low tire pressure. I fixed it myself and after a couple of miles of my fix, the computer no longer told me that I had low tire pressure. No biggie. Right? Wrong again! On the next time the car told me to go for another maintenance, this time I went to the dealership where I had my first Hondas maintained. They told me that since I was under warranty, I did not have to pay for the oil change and I really did not need a tire rotation. So, I basically paid nothing for that maintenance. There was a hole in my tire that they were able to fix at a manageable price and the car's computer hasn't told me that I need to check the tire pressure since then.

The lesson learn: stick to a dealer who will treat you right and don't go to Culver City Honda as the dealer and the service people are a bunch of rip off artists.

  • Bowlero

Don't buy the Summer Pass. It may be inexpensive to buy but getting a lane to bowl is almost impossible. The company is all about profits.

The day I went there the place was packed with lots of people for a 40 lane bowling alley. On top of that, as I made my way to the front desk to reserve a lane, I overhead a conversation there that the people ahead of me were 10th on a wait list and it was already 6:30 PM. This is the only time I can get to the bowling alley as I have work up to that time. As per the agreement for the Summer Pass, it is only good until 8:00 PM. When I got to the front desk, the people there told me that they have 2 events going on and they have not even started. I drove a long distance to bowl only to be denied and the best they can offer is a wait list with no guarantees that I will be able to bowl that day? I don't think so.

They may have ample parking and an arcade for the kids but their attitude about loyalty and customer service stinks. Let the people with the pass who will probably be a regular customer there have the priority to bowl, not the people in events who have more money and more than likely will not come back for continual return visit. Reserve some lanes for your loyal customers with the Summer Pass. This is the Disneyland of bowling alleys. Don't get a loan in order to enjoy yourselves. This only goes to show you that this place is all about profits and not customer service. Tell your company of the bad experience you have had here as an individual and tell them not to patronize this location unless your company wants to lose more money by going here.

I had a membership at the facility in Santa Monica, CA. Before they went Super Sport. They never offered to "grandfather" me to Super Sport status. I decided to cancel my membership since all they want is money. I remember a lady working out next to me on the elliptical machine and starting coughing really hard. She didn't smell like a smoker so she must of had the Flu. I complained to the staff about her but one came back to have her remove before she get others sick. I'm never going to a place like this if they can't even screen sick members or can't tell their members to not come in sick and infect others.

Tip for consumers:
They emailed that have Purel and wipes. That is not going to help stop a sneeze. It's airborne!!! People, where a mask.

I have not contacted their site nor have I ever contacted by phone. For all I know they could be run by Consolidated Debt that keeps call me even though I never contacted them either. Anyway, I get calls from them as my phone's caller ID show them up as such. When I don't answer and check the message they leave behind, I just call block them. However, on using a different phone number, caller ID show them as Payday Loans again. This time I answered it and I get the same computer sounding message they left in a previous voicemail. I listen through it and waited until it told me to press 9 to not be called again. Surprisingly enough, they called again on a different phone number and caller ID show their name again. No matter how may times I do this (at least 5 times), they continue to call me again and again using a different phone number. They are nothing but harassing scammers that will stop at nothing to get your business.

  • Scadea Solutions

2/11/17

This company keeps emailing me about job opportunities that I did not sign up for on their website nor in person. They "steal" that information from other websites in order to make a profit for themselves. I do not put my address or phone number on my online resume for fear of the constant harassment of phone calls or mails from companies like these. Instead, I can at least flag their constant emails so it goes straight to my spam folder. This guy Sharaq Baig (*******@scadea.net) keeps emailing me of jobs nowhere near where I live. All he has to do is look at the places I work in to know that I am nowhere near job locations he is trying to peddle. His emails offers apologies but not an email link to remove me from their email blast list. I tried several times to email them to stop but no replies. They don't think of your own benefit but their own commission that they can pocket. That's why they don't offer that remove me from email list link. Don't do business with them. This company is not here for you, they are here for their own profit margin.

  • Talener

2/11/17

While looking for a job, I was contacted by people at Talener for a possible position with a company they were working for. When I went to their office, I went through their usual two cents on what I wanted in a job and what they were going to do. Didn't hear from them about that possible job. Several months later, I got an email from them asking if I was available for a possible position. They said it was in the salary I was looking for as a manager. I explicitly said that I was not looking for a manager position but for a very experienced, non-manager role yet they were pushing me for this job. I have a medical history where any position that would increase my stress level will give me problems. All Talener is concern is their commission and not the employee's satisfaction. Now, new recruiters are working for them as they are trying to contact me to see if I need a job. I already have one that I got on my own and happy to be where I am at. The others who I have seen on the day of my visit have gotten their commissions and ran off with their share of the money. Ask Samantha Pitman who was there and is now at Internet Brands.

  • Secret Benefits

2/10/17

I have been on their site more than six months as a free service. I finally decided to try their paid service. I tried their lowest paid service is about $90 for 200 of their credits. I get emails from possible matches from women I am not interested in; so I blocked them and delete their conversation so I don't use the credits. However, my count of unread messages do not change. I email their customer support about and they said that I have to read them in order for that number to decrease (meaning use more credits and pay more money to get rid of those unread messages).

Also, when I try to establish a connection with possible dates (which cost 10 credits to message or see their messages) I message for them for a bit to gauge what they are looking for in the relationship. When I feel comfortable enough try to meet with them at a public place to talk more details. So far, there have been no response about that. I tried messaging them and still no response.

I have tried making first contact with others on the site I am interested in and also get no response (remember this is costing me 10 credits for each member I try to message). The women in this sites seems fake to me since they are not responding. Their profiles are probably set up be the site owner in order to get customers to scam you out of more money from them. There does not seem to be any genuine people on this site to really talk to in person. I would avoid this kind of service if they cannot guarantee you are going to meet with a real person.

As you can seen in one screenshot uploaded (as long as that last), all the user says is "Hi" and that's it. "She" has not logged in at all since the first day I contacted her.

In another screenshots, I talked to another user and we exchange texting numbers. It seems like she was the one as we has similar interests. However, a week later, no replies from text. No replies on the site and when I tried to access her profile; gone.

WTF! Maybe I should try the verified members but for all you know they are probably scammers too.

FYI, I never got that unlimited membership from the first reply they sent and still getting the same type of profiles on here from the first time I went to their website. I know some of the profiles here are fake because they sent me a message and they don't bother to read my profile that specifically states what type of date I am looking for. Why would I respond to someone I am going to dislike at the first minute we go on a date?

Secret B. – Secret Benefits Rep

Hi Overkill,

Sorry you didn't have a good experience on the site. You are correct that it costs 10 tokens in order to be able to send and receive unlimited messages from a user you are interested in. I think you'll find this is actually a very reasonable amount to pay when compared with other sites and it allows you to only pay to interact with the members you choose. We will take your comments under consideration and may offer an unlimited subscription in the future.

As for the members on the site, all are real and none are generated by us. Secretbenefits has come along way since the time of your review so I'd encourage you to come back and try it out again. Over 10,000 sugar babies have signed up since you wrote this!

Tried their service once and saw how expensive their service is and did not try their service again. Several months later, I got emails from them that someone accessed my account from a different part of the city. The person or people who accessed my account charged a delivery to 111 W. 7th Street *******671) for about $100 for a salmon dinner, delivery fee, and tips. When I saw this, I quickly resetted my password and deleted my credit card information. I have contacted their customer service department to have this issue resolved and not charged my credit card for a delivery I did not ask for (especially since I have gout and salmon is bad for me). Their response is pending but I want to warn people of the breach of information, security and privacy.
