This site has issues that some do not talk about like:

1. Scammers (story from the ripoff report)

Topic: Christian Cafe Online Dating Services International Dating schemes, Military dating scams

Reported By: — St. Petersburg, Florida

"I was contacted by a fellow I met online through C Cafe. Online. He told me I had to communicate through a satellite system that I had to participate in while he was in the military. Using the Name that Is real Ts2 on the company that is legit. I bought into it. I sent $560. In a cash receipt through Western Union oversees to England. No delivery of services was rendered. I contacted the original company, they have no record of me of any purchase.
They are scamming probably hundreds of American Dollars from these women, Like myself who are dumb enough to send with out check the fidelity of the company first. I would like to help catch these scum balls out of there evil international tricks. First we got to get the person out of the way. Help I am in the middle of a scam artist wanting more money... 2. Bias (complaint from the complaints board)

Topic: Discrimination Disgrace, Christian Cafe, Ottawa, Ontario

"It is an absolute shame and a disgrace when one has to write about a Christian site that is supposed to be a hallmark for christian equity and equality in this secular world but the time has come for its disgrace to be exposed.

This site falls far below the standards of what a christian ought to be in terms of impartiality and fairness. On the site there may be many members composed of other ethnic compositions that of course are found on the testimonial section of the site.

However when it comes to the homepage section or introductory section of the site none are there to be found. Imagine a christian site that is supposed to talk about brotherhood and sisterhood but cannot even practice it even on its own homepage in terms of ethnic equality.

What a shame and what a disgrace and Christ right now must be so ashamed and displeased! It therefore is indirectly saying that brothers and sisters of other races are good for some distant corner on the site but they are not good enough for the foremost part of the site which is its own homepage.

What an unchristian thing to do and what an unBiblical thing to do. This flies in the face of what the Bible says about equality (I Corinthians 3:8, Galatians 3:26-28, Romans 10:11-12, Romans 3:21-22, Colossians 3:11, Acts 15:6-9) in terms of its own standard of Biblical ethics

This christian site may come up with some "loophole" lame excuse to "challenge" this but any time you challenge clear Biblical precedent for equality set in the Bible with some inferior challenge you are nothing more than a compromiser and lukewarm and you stop being impartial and start being Partial in your practices as the Bible clearly forbids (James 2:1-4). In other words you are very disobedient and rebellious to the very Bible you claim to uphold and stand for!

Compromise when it comes to christian equality should never stood for and any site that attaches the name christian to its site and says that it is a supporter of Christ but compromises on this core Biblical principle should be outrightly condemned!"

This Christian site needs I think to conduct itself in a better way or be closed down.

Sorry for the trouble you experienced back in 2011. The entire online world was being inundated with scammers back then, and websites like ours became proactive in removing scammers before they could cause anyone any trouble. No one can claim their site is scammer-free, but we've been eliminating 98% of them for the past few years with our anti-fraud system. The remaining 2% are caught by us or members reporting them to us. Working together, we can keep scammers are bay!

MSN

Msn.com is an okay site especially when it comes to news at times but their Hotmail service can be quite pathetic in terms of one's Hotmail account refusing to accept one's password like I have experienced.

The search engine still is good when it comes to searching on the net but just should expect technical errors with msn.com from time to time. It can be like an up and down see saw. One minute the site seems pretty efficient and the next the site can be full of errors. Some of its features are still okay but not always the best.

  • All Poetry

11/9/11

Terrible site and a disgrace at times. One of the issues with this poetry site is harassment from those on the site. The complaints board has this complaint about this and I quote an excerpt of this:

Author: NotWhoYouThink

Topic: Harassment with no way to respond, paid service

Date: Posted: 2011-08-27

"How ever the harasment is overwheming, they make up something or take something out of context as they did me and run with it, day after day,... though I am a paying member and bought months in advance as most do, a gold membership... You can not get these people to stop or get off of you. They do this repeatedly to people. You can join on a free membership and go the pub forum and experience this personally, no you do not have to write poetry"

Another issue has to do with the site also ignoring complaints at times and technical difficulties.

This poetry site needs to have more than poetry on it and needs to have something else called principles when dealing with people.

  • Wikipedia

11/9/11

There is a reason why I will not give full ratings for Wikipedia and it has to do with two reasons

1. Everyone likes to see Wikipedia as an information tool which it is but does it have credible and reliable and trustworthy information on it all of the time? The answer is that not all of the time is this the case. At times one will come across pages on Wikipedia where the information may not be able to be trusted because the page does not refer to any actual sources for what has been posted

2. Moderators at times tend to have prejudices against those who post certain kinds of information that they deem "inappropriate" when actually it is not inappropriate at all and eventually gets removed by them sadly. It is many times difficult to get them to take down a tag on a post that they have deemed inappropriate when actually it may not be the case. What a shame!

However the site still has its usefulness!.

  • Yahoo

11/9/11

Yahoo is not my favorite search engine but it is very useful and still important and it still ranks as the best that is out there because the site developers and technical team are always working on new improvements to Yahoo.

The thing I love about Yahoo happens to be the news that one is able to get on various trends and happenings. Plus the news also has different aspects that are included such as news about fitness or some amazing event that took place or some event in the life of a celebrity.

I love the up-to-date information that Yahoo has and that is why it will always remain for me a cool site.

  • My3Cents

11/9/11

This is an okay review site where one can either compliment a product or company or even complain about a product or company. However there are problems with the site and these are:

1. Attacks from members can be overwhelming and even to the point of harassment. Here is an excerpt of a very scary story from the complaints board about this issue.

Author: Little Stewie

Topic: Mistreatment of Members, my3cents.com

Date: Posted: 2010-06-23

". The problem is with the regular members out there. As soon as they see someone new has posted an opinion about anything, they pounce. They attack. Relentlessly. Over and over and over again.

They attack your intelligence. They attack your spelling. They attack your responses. They blame you for what happened to cause you to complain. They challenge why you even bothered to make the complaint. The pound and pound and pound you. They just sit back and wait until someone new comes along, and then they attack.

It gets so bad out there - on Feb. 13,2010, a person posted a typical complaint about a typical situation, nothing memorable. But the My3cents.com people smelled her, and they mercilelessly surrounded and verbally beat her black and blue, with dozens and dozens and dozens of figurative punches to the face and kicks to the ribs - until this person gave up and wrote that she had just swallowed enough pills to kill herself.

Did the people on My3cents.com care? No way! At first they were oblivious to the person's claim that she was commnitting suicide - they actually kept beating her up (this was day two of the assault, by the way).

Someone eventually pointed out that there was no longer a reason to keep up the assault, and they started screaming how her death wasn't their fault! The whole conversation changed from "This person and her opinions are so stupid" to "I didn't say anything mean or bad to her. You can't blame her death on me."

Whether she killed herself or not is not the point; all we know is that she said she was going to. The point is that she had no idea what she was getting herself into when she went to that site to express her opinions. She had no idea there would be hours after hours and day and day of attacks on everything about her."

2. The site coming from personal experience also does not have a good filtration mechanism at times also as well especially when it comes to posting a complaint which may end up being refused by the site though it may be legitimate. In other words its filtering mechanism is sometimes flawed at times.

my3cents.com needs to get some sense in its operations and with its members in how they deal with people.

  • Google

11/9/11

Google is the best out there. No one can dispute this or argue with a fact such as this. One of the features that I enjoy especially about Google are the creative ways they celebrate memorable people in history. They sometimes change the word "Google" into wonderfully designed interactive special effects that one can interact with so as for example to remember the birthday of a notable figure in history.

I remember how they celebrated Jim Henson's birthday where they had these interactive Muppets that one could click on and each Muppet could do something that was very funny and comical. I will never forget this.

For me they are among the best when it comes to creativity out there.

I often decide to put the words others speak about so-called "good" sites to the test and here is what I found out with my own experience with the site.

1. The online customer service was not that efficient in answering all my questions that I asked them. I spoke to a customer service representative who was very inefficient in answering all of my questions.

2. There are also location issues and challenges with this site. This company refuses from what I gathered to set up operations in certain locations deeming them "inferior" no doubt and so because of this their claim to ship all over the world is not that solid a claim. In the area of deliveries one will know that certain locations where a delivery business has set up their office can help in the speed with its deliveries and how quickly a delivery reaches where it has to go. This is not the case with this company in its refusal to set up at certain locations and so deliveries can be expected to be rather slow.

I was absolutely not impressed with the customer service and their answers at all. Fancy sites can still be full of problems and this is the case with this one indeed.

  • DateHookup

11/9/11

There are a whole lot of problems with this dating site that needs to be outlined here that others have pointed out.

1. Failure to cancel subscription when one requests this (story from the complaints board)

Author: paul4ucols

Date: Posted: 2010-09-18

Topic: Won't allow me to unsubscribe, datehookup.com, Columbus, Ohio

"I suddenly could not access my account (think they blocked me for some foolish reason; I never used profanity nor did i insult anyone), nor could I then access the unsubscribe page. I gotta problem here. Who is the government agency I complain to about this?"

2. Prejudice (story from the complaints board)

Author: Madwoman

Date: Posted: 2008-11-13

Topic: Racism, datehookup.com, California

"I too have seen the racism spread at DateHookup.com. I went in there for a dating experience and found the forums to be very hateful and race filled. I have personally witnessed members who try and combat this racism, but their threads get pulled right away while the racial threads last months. If you stand up to racism there you are shunned and harassed until you leave. It often makes you wonder why you are getting your account deleted or getting on suspension. Peace seems to be a crime to this dating site while racism runs rampant and is rewarded. Many of the good clientele get sick of it and leave from the harassment. I am just wondering why there hasn't been some kind of investigation to this dating site. There have even been people commenting on death to a certain race and their thread still did not get pulled. It makes you wonder if this is even a dating site at all."

3. Profiles that are False (story from the complaints board)

Author: P. J.

Date: Posted: 2009-02-28

Topic: Fake Profiles

"A VERY good percentage of female profiles on datehookup are "fake" and I'm very tired of it. I'm assuming that it's the site administrators who respond to most the messages. You'll also notice, that there are quite a few profiles who have a "decent" pic of themselves but in the self description box, it says, "(no description provided)". When you send these people a message, asking them some basic questions, most of the questions are "dodged" and the respond back is so vague and impersonal that one can only assume that it is being answered by a site administrator."

Even though I like free sites I do not like all especially those that may be fraudulent. Datehookup.com needs to be completely halted because it is seems to be more about being a hindrance to others rather than about actually "hooking up."

This site that is connected to ashraspells.com is definitely a scam and a sham. For someone to actually put their trust in love spells for relationship purposes shows that someone is not sensible at all. Here is proof that these so-called "love spells" are fake and false. Here is a story that comes from the ripoff report.

Topic: Ashra Spells such a scam

"Back in early 2010, I ordered several spells from Ashra thinking that it was helping me with my relationship with my guy. I would order a spell and then a few weeks would go by. Then they would send me all these sweet letters like this:

Hi "name"! How's the weather over there? I'm surprised at how sensitive my eyes are to the bright summer sun. The lighter your eye color, the harder it is to withstand the intensity of the sun. I've got great news on "your guy/girl".

"your guy/girl" been extremely active lately in "their" thoughts to you. The visions were blurred on whether "they" was at your door, or a door "they" presumed you'd visit at some point. It's very hard, but I've been putting in a lot of effort to monitor your case. I know "they" was somewhere that "they" was hoping to run into you as if it wasn't planned. It could have been just his dream and I tapped in for a psychic vision while "they" was dreaming of your reunion.

When I finished monitoring your spells and found these visions, it hit me like a brick! Why weren't we just intensifying to make the reunion happen right now?! Why not give that last push!

Hugs! You've been so strong. Please tell me what you think. You can take a look: http://freelovespells.ca/soulbound-destiny.html

In my heart, I just know this is what we need!

Soulbound Destiny: http://freelovespells.ca/soulbound-destiny.html

Summer Blessings,
Ashra

Stupid me, thinking that she really had something (and) would order another spell. So, then we broke up and i found out that all that time, he was dating other women... PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PERSON! SERIOUSLY!"

I wish to add please do not use any spells or any sites that involve spells of any kind because they are all shams and scams.

Excellent antiscam forum. This forum is a wonderful tool and resource for exposing and listing scammers such as Nigerian scammers and Russian and Ukrainian and Asian scammers and it is also a helpful in exposing scam sites like anastasiadate.com, hotrussianbrides.com and armyofbrides.com, etc

One can post their experiences on the forum and the information can be used to help protect many others from romance scams and romance scammers that are out there.

The information on this site is very useful and can safeguard many from being a victim of a romance scam.

It amazes me that people will actually trust and believe in scams like spellcasting and wonder why it is they were scammed after they gave in to something that was not in the first place worth believing. Spellcasting and its belief is for people without any sound thinking. Here is an example of what happens to those who put their trust in this site and in spellcasting as well. • Consumerist

11/8/11

This site that comes out of the consumers union is a wonderful information site and educational site. However I cannot give it the full rating for two reasons in my experience with them

1. The site sometimes does not respond back to those who are requesting help from the site such as for example those who need help because of login issues.

2. When it comes to posting one's story regarding a particular issue the site makes it a little bit more difficult than usual in comparison to other complaints sites that make it much more easier to post about an issue.

This site is extremely useful still and should still be trusted for the information that it provides.

  • eHarmony

11/8/11

For me the site is somewhat worthwhile but I will not give this site my full recommendation because of several reasons

1. Long and monotonous testing system. I have tried this test and the length of the test sometimes gets boring and tiresome.

2. Relationships found on the site are not always guaranteed to last because every relationship is different and no site can predict the future of these relationships especially this one.

3. There are problems with their charging policies. Here is s story that comes from consumeraffairs.com

Date: 11/ 8 /11

"I signed up with e-Harmony in August 2011 for 3 months. I disabled the auto renewal feature. They kept sending me emails about my subscription payments, and the one I received in October stated that, it was my last payment. On the 5th of November 2011, I received an email informing me that they had taken out another payment for the month of November. When I rang them, they said that I had not informed them 24 hours before my membership had expired about stopping payment. E-Harmony have been very deceptive in their dealings. I would like to advise others to steer clear of them. I have advised the local Consumer affairs in Australia about this matter, and will also explore the possibility of contacting the Current Affairs show, which highlights such scams."

4. Inaccurate matching system and problems removing or canceling one's account. Here is another story from the consumeraffairs.com

Date: 10/29/11

"I signed up for 3 months at $14.95/mo. After using Match.com for 3 months. My understanding of this service was that this was sort of a more serious, more specified service than Match. This was where people looking for a more serious relationship were more likely to pay their money.

All was well for the first few days and then I started receiving matches pretty far out of my specifications. Miles out of my range, and not even close to other specifications. I emailed EH customer service and they basically told me I just wasn't open-minded enough and that's why I wasn't finding love. Okay, fine. But I know my limitations. I work full-time and go to school. I don't have the time to be driving all over my region to meet potential dates. Also, I'm 5'10". Sorry, but I'm just not comfortable dating men who are 5'6" (nor are they dating me) so hey, don't send them to me. I mean, really, the 29 dimensions are rubbish. I was matched with whomever happened to sign up on a given day.

After a few days (more like a week) of receiving no matches, I was receiving a full inbox again. This time, however, it was full of matches which were completely invalid. Most had no photo and/or had not logged in for over three weeks, indicating to me that either they'd abandoned their account or they took the test for fun and, well, abandoned their account. Again, I contacted customer service and was told that I was being to picky. I needed to allow a man to give me a photo of his own accord. Also, I was being impatient. Many of their members are busy, and don't log in every day. I should also note that one of my matches during this time was a friend of mine who'd moved to Atlanta 3 months prior to my signing up for EH. According to him (and he's a very reliable source), he hadn't logged in since just before he'd moved, and hadn't been a paying member in 6 months. Way to go, EH! Yes, I did bring this to their attention. They chose to ignore it. I understand that it's impossible to know how active your members are but maybe only match the paying members up with each other? I don't know, it seems like that should be a perk of shelling out the cash.

I attempted to cancel my account after a month because of the fact that they had not upheld their end of the bargain. I was not receiving valid matches and wasn't getting any benefits from the money I was paying. They refused, stating I still needed to pay for the remaining two months I'd signed up for. I relented, and asked that they simply withdraw the balance from my account, subsequently close my EH account, and let me be on my way so that I didn't have to deal with their abysmal service ever again. They refused, stating I still had two more months left on my contract and hey, why not enjoy the benefits of my account?

Really eHarmony? Really. Avoid this dating service like the plague! At least with Match.com you have the freedom to move around on the site and make your own choices".

However despite the issues people do find others on the site and the site is by far still way more successful and even much more cheaper per month than many specialist dating sites out there but the issues are still worth taking note of.

  • Consumer Reports

11/8/11

Excellent consumer advocacy site dedicated to fighting for the rights of consumers. This site takes you directly even to your own representative to issue your concern and your complaint. Here is what the site says about itself. It is site that is dedicated to seeing the consumer be dealt with fairly.

"Consumers Union (CU) is an expert, independent, nonprofit organization whose mission is to work for a fair, just, and safe marketplace for all consumers and to empower consumers to protect themselves. The organization was founded in 1936 when advertising first flooded the mass media. Consumers lacked a reliable source of information they could depend on to help them distinguish hype from fact and good products from bad ones. Since then CU has filled that vacuum with a broad range of consumer information. To maintain its independence and impartiality, CU accepts no outside advertising and no free samples and employs several hundred mystery shoppers and technical experts to buy and test the products it evaluates.

CU publishes Consumer Reports, one of the top-ten-circulation magazines in the country, and ConsumerReports.org, which has the most subscribers of any Web site of its kind, in addition to two newsletters, Consumer Reports on Health and Consumer Reports Money Adviser. They have combined subscriptions of more than 8 million. All of CU's work is informed by the more than 1 million readers who respond to our Annual Ballot & Questionnaire, among the largest and most comprehensive consumer studies in the world. In 2008, CU also launched several initiatives, including ConsumerReportsHealth.org and the Consumer Reports Health Ratings Center, which serve to educate and empower consumers to make more informed health-care decisions and to help change the market.

To further advance its mission, Consumers Union employs a dedicated staff of lobbyists, grassroots organizers, and outreach specialists who work with the organization's more than 600,000 online activists to change legislation and the marketplace in favor of the consumer interest."

What I also love about this site is the transparency factor where they are very open on the site about who actually runs this consumer advocacy organization and I also love the consumer alerts that are sent to consumers to motivate them to join their voices together to speak out against a particular wrong in the marketplace.

This consumer activist is among the best out there and one cannot go wrong when they are fighting for you and are on your side as a consumer.

  • Consumer Reports

11/8/11

This site comes out of the consumer union which is a top consumer advocacy organization. The site is intended to be an information and educational site to educate consumers as well as providing expert reviews and ratings on products and advice when it comes to buying products. Here is what the site says about itself:

"Consumer Reports (CR) is an expert, independent, nonprofit organization whose mission is to work for a fair, just, and safe marketplace for all consumers and to empower consumers to protect themselves. The organization was founded in 1936 when advertising first flooded the mass media. Consumers lacked a reliable source of information they could depend on to help them distinguish hype from fact and good products from bad ones. Since then CR has filled that vacuum with a broad range of consumer information. To maintain its independence and impartiality, CR accepts no outside advertising and no free samples and employs several hundred mystery shoppers and technical experts to buy and test the products it evaluates."

The site also has good testimonials about the trust that people have in consumer reports. Here is one testimonial from one of the donors to consumer reports who makes donations to them because consumer reports in order to remain fair to all refuses advertising and thus depends on the generous donations of people.

"Consumer Reports is the only organization I truly trust to be honest with us, the consuming public, about product quality and value. I've trusted them for more than 30 years for guidance with decisions on purchases as big as an automobile and as little as a bottle of all purpose cleaner. I've been a supporter of CR for most of those years, because there is no other way I could expect them to do what they do, since they don't accept any advertising and they don't accept any freebies for testing.— Bonna Oyer, Consumers Reports Donor"

This is among the most trustworthy consumer sites out there whose experience has always been trusted. You will never go wrong with consumerreports.org because you can always have confidence in them..

  • Udrivedating

11/8/11

This site is more like a house with many rooms. This site is actually a "container" site that contains seven different sites to choose from and these include for example a nonsmoking site for nonsmokers, a smoking site for smokers and even a B&B site or Big and Beautiful site for those who may be a little heavier than usual but nonetheless still attractive and beautiful.

This site however fails with me in that after sign up many of the site's features cannot be accessed till one pays for such as "winks" for example. On a free site this is more than possible. The site may have an affordable price but if one wants to be fair to one's clients then at least have some of the features still accessible to them if not all. The site here is communicating the wrong impression that it is only interested in money making purposes and not so much relationships formed between two people.

  • EliteMeeting

11/8/11

I have registered for this site and was bombarded with lots of mail from this site. However what is known about this site is that this site many times has many gold diggers who want wealthy men and not the average and usual person. Now not all are like that but this is the impression that the site gives. It is almost discriminatory.

This means that the site uses exclusion tactics to exclude all of the simple ordinary gentlemen for instance so that they will have no chance in meeting or being with a beautiful lady on the site. This is why correspondence is unusually high per month in comparison to other dating sites.

It all goes back to how we see the word "elite" Elite people are not those with wealth and money alone but those with worth and value also regardless if they do not have wealth and money. If we have that definition in mind then using a free site where one can also find these kinds of elite people who are full of worth and value will not be so hard for us to take advantage of because then when we use such a common sense approach we shall escape this "elite" site that is not at all fully free.

  • PsychicContact

11/8/11

It is a shame and a disgrace to actually have sensible people put their trust in these things and when they get fooled they often wonder why. Now to get fooled with psychics one has to pay to be fooled by these psychics on this site and here is an example of such. Prices are based on requests for readings either by email or by online chat

Wisdom is best used when one tries to avoid anything that makes one a fool instead of making one wise. This site is not to be trusted at all. Save your money and your sanity and never trust psychics at all.

  • Psychic Nora

11/8/11

This site deals with the "clairvoyant" Nora Marcom who claims to offer readings in French, English and Armenian. Psychics are fake and false. To put one's hope in such a false thing is to put hope in absolutely nothing.

This psychic along with other psychics are not to be trusted. Let common sense prevail when it comes to dealing with psychics and clairvoyants.
