  • Another Broken Egg Cafe

6/12/19

I went to Another Broken Egg in Vinings, GA to celebrate my birthday, and was induced to go by this picture of a stack of pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. The caption beside the picture stated:"Celebrate your birthday with free pancakes!" and another caption below the picture also stated: "In celebration of you, enjoy a free order of Birthday Pancakes."
In addition, the email message accompanying the picture and captions said that I would receive a FREE ORDER of PANCAKES - in bold. So to my surprise and dissapointment, I was told differently once I placed my order. Apparently, the birthday email is incorrect and has been an issue for some time. In fact, the customer celebrating their birthday should receive A pancake and not a free order of pancakes. Now, if it is such an issue why has this not been corrected? The manager cannot correct this at the register because of some button bypass issue, and needs to be resolved at the corporate level. Please for a stack of pancakes? Flour, water, or whatever they use to make their pancakes? Really. We are actually insulting the birthday customer with this nonsense.
Another Broken Egg please use this opportunity as a school/community project. Expose grade school students who are learning about the use of singular and plural to make the correction.
In fact, it can also be an exercise in technology or a real life work related problem. Just think of the money that can be saved or gained by not giving the birthday patrons their stack or pancakes. I think this could be a great corporate initiative. I certainly do not want to receive this email filled with errors next year if I decided to remain subscribe to your email notifications.
This was truly a birthday bust. I will not be repeating that experience again. Hopefully someone at the corporate level can resolve this so no one else has to deal with this nonsense.

Apparently I am not the only one to voice a grievance with fullbeauty.com's return policy. I returned the items within 60 days but the items were returned to me with a blanket statement on the return invoice as "old/damaged". I find this to be quite insulting firstly because I have been shopping on their site for quite some time, and secondly because they were returned "all unworn, unwashed or defective merchandise may be exchanged or returned within 60 days of ship date".
Further, according to several customer service agents, the items have to be in their warehouse within the 60 days from date of shipment; however, that is not indicated in the return policy. How am I to know where the warehouse is? They could be shipping the items from Timbuktu for all I know. Interestingly, not one of these agents can tell me when my items were shipped to me. What kind of bootleg system and business are these people running anyway? I swallowed the cost the last time because I was unaware of the return policy change from 90 days to 60 days. One thing is certain, I will NO longer purchase anything from this site. In fact, this is not the first time this has happened to me. Frankly, there are many manufacturers and designers that offer plus size clothing for a fraction of the cost and provide quality merchandise, so I will be giving them my hard earned money. We, plus size women no longer have to settle for subpar merchandise and bogus return policies; we will spend our money where it is appreciated.
