Here are excerpts of a letter I wrote to public relations at JoAnn:

I am honestly am at a loss as to how you keep your customers.

My sister passed 10 years ago and in her honor I planned a large family outing at the NC Museum of art. I purchased some art that needed to be framed and used a gift card to purchase a frame back in May so I could present it to her daughters as a gift. It never came so after roughly a month I called customer service and spoke with De Air who acknowledged that the package was lost and promised me the value from the gift card that I used. THAT never came.

Some weeks later I call and got De Air once more who assured me that it was on it's way ( sometime in June or so). A few weeks later after STILL not receiving the card I called and got Kanisha who I spoke with twice over a 2 or 3 week period who kept promising it was on it's way with an additional $10 in a gift card. I then asked to speak with Corporate and was sent to Mike ( his direct number xxx-xxx-xxx4) who assured, swore and promised me that he would fedex a gift card to me this past Friday. The day we spoke.

I'm in the process of moving and asked that he please send it to my new address where my sister would accept the card. We'll it's Monday evening and I know fedex would have delivered it by now. I use fedex regularly for my state government work here at the North Carolina capitol government complex so I know how fast they work.

This has been going on going on 3 months now. Why in the good Lord's name would this take so long and why did virtually everyone I spoke to just tell me things to placate me and get me off the phone? There is no possible way any one of those I spoke with could have been telling me the truth otherwise I would have gotten SOMETHING at SOME POINT...

Is your company so hard up that it just hates to do the right thing by giving my money back for something I purchased and never received?
I did receive the original girl card on Saturday and the letter was dated July 15th which proves that De Air lied to me from the beginning.

I have no interest in shopping at your locations. I am NOT interested in the other gift card that was suppose to come over the weekend (guaranteed by Mike). Please keep it because evidently your company needs it far more that I do since honoring your promises to your customers it not a priority.

Needless to say I don't think I will hear from them and I wish I'd read some reviews on their online ordering practices. It's truly not worth the effort, they're so dishonest!
