These makeup brushes are decent, but they're not the best in the world. They're good if you're looking for something that's quality but affordable.
For the amount of exfoliation I get from these scrubs, the value is amazing. They smell pretty good, too.
Products used:
Apricot scrub, green tea scrub
Burt's Bees is usually pretty good. I've never tried their makeup, but I like their skincare products. The only product of theirs that I've tried and didn't like was their eye cream for sensitive skin because I felt like it didn't really do anything.
Products used:
Lip balm
Sensitive skin eye cream
I used a Mario Badescu cleanser for the first time about a year ago and I absolutely loved it. It exfoliated and moisturized my skin perfectly and I would recommend it to just about anyone.
Tip for consumers:
They can be expensive!
Products used:
Mario Badescu Botanical Exfoliating Scrub
NYC has ok mascara, but other than that their products really aren't that great. I wouldn't recommend them if you can afford something better.
E. L. f. Has very affordable prices, but their products are simply terrible. Their lip plumper broke after like the second time I used it, and their brush cleaner does nothing to clean my makeup brushes. Their highlighter isn't pigmented at all... I've just had a terrible experience with almost all of their products. They're a good brand if you're just starting out with makeup though and you want to practice.
Aldi has generally good prices, but their produce kind of sucks. Also, their staff often seem rushed.
AbeBooks is an excellent place to find first edition and otherwise collectible books from third party sellers. The sellers here usually know what they're doing more than eBay sellers.
Tip for consumers:
Just like eBay, the quality of service comes primarily from the third party seller you choose. So be careful and pay attention to reviews!
I love being able to listen to and share playlists, and 8tracks is great for discovering new music. But I wish they hadn't added the ads.
Tip for consumers:
Don't be afraid to share your own playlists!
So far, I've had a great experience with Foursquare. I love being able to review all sorts of places that I visit, and I love reading tips from other people.
The Spotify Student subscription is completely worth it. You get Hulu and Showtime along with Spotify Premium and it's only $5 per month.
Products used:
Spotify Student subscription
Pandora is great as an online radio, but I wish I could use it to make playlists and I wish it had more of a social aspect.
I haven't received any voxboxes, but I love being able to review almost anything and a lot of the other users on the site are very friendly.
I've only ever had excellent experiences at Jiffy Lube. It doesn't matter which location I go to; the staff is always very friendly and the service is fast. Also, I can usually find great deals online for oil changes.
Products used:
Conventional oil change.
Twitter makes it very easy to keep up-to-date with current events and with my friends' lives. Great website/app.
I don't have much professional experience, but Linkedin allows me to build a profile that showcases all the best parts of my educational and work experiences. I also love the job search feature.
Netflix is generally reliable and has content for almost anyone to watch. I would recommend it to anyone.
Survey Junkie is great. I use it all the time and can easily cash out once I reach the $10.00 threshold. I always get my payment instantly via Paypal.
Tip for consumers:
You might get rejected from a lot of surveys at first, but keep going and you'll reach the payout threshold in no time.
I've never had a problem with any delivery from Amazon, and the one time that I did have a question about a charge, the woman on the phone was very friendly and helpful. Turns out it wasn't even an unauthorized charge, I was just confused about something.
Facebook is good for communicating with friends and family and sharing lots of different types of content, but there are far too many ads and quizzes that seem an awful lot like phishing.
