I just left this store located in Davenport, IA on Brady St and Kimberly Rd.

I went in for my appointment and told them which insurance I had, and asked how much I would pay out of pocket. The "tech" (SALES person) told me there would be a $20 copay for the exam and that my insurance would pay $90 towards glasses.

I picked out frames that were $89. She told me my total owed was $110 (?!?)

She then pulled out a list of charges- of which included $20 copay TO PICK OUT FRAMES, $20 to release my prescription TO THEM (mind you, I had my exam done there in the store), $45 for an anti-glare feature that I wasn't told was optional or that they were even putting it on my lenses and $25 copay for the exam itself.

I asked for the manager to come better explain how $20 turned into $110 and said how incredibly misleading the sales person was. Manager defended the sales person who said to the both of us "I never said that!" (Total BS) and demanded that I pay for it on the spot. This defensive response from the manager tells me that this is standard "sales procedure" at Stanton Optical.

I work in sales, and I work on commission. If I had done to my customers what these people tried to do to me today I would be fired. End of story.

Don't ever go here. Just seriously don't.
