Disclaimer: I'm a genuine customer who had one experience with Borderfree. It was alright.
I order a buncha stuff from Ulta and because Ulta does not ship to Canada directly, I chose broderfree. My order cost me CAD$122 (purchased over $100 and got free shipping). My order was placed on July 9th, 2017. This is my first time ordering anything from Ulta and using Borderfree, so I got a little bit suspicious about the company. I searched the reviews about Borderfree and THEY WERE ALL NEGATIVE. I was so worried that I wanted to cancel my order immediately. Now here's the part Borderfree could've improved, I did not find the way to cancel my order. I emailed them twice but couldn't wait until the reply. I called their customer care phone num and they did pick up pretty soon. The guy explained to me that Ulta has to ship to them first then they will ship to Canada. Typically, it takes about 5-8 days for Ulta to ship, then another 5-8 days for Borderfree to ship to Canada.
FINAL RESULTS: It took 8 days for Ulta to ship and my package arrived in Canada on the 18th of July. I got a notification from Canada Post that it was somewhere in Ontario. Now I'm finally feeling good about this shipment! It's the 22nd today and I received a notification that it arrived in B.C. yesterday, so I'll be looking forward to seeing my package on Monday!
MY THOUGHTS: Borderfree did their best to help with international orders, I mean they were a bit slow but not THAT slow. Overall it was nice, I just thought they deserve some positive reviews because I'm satisfied with the experience.
WILL I USE BORDERFREE AGAIN? Maybe, but I honestly wouldn't choose Borderfree if it wasn't my last choice.
