I was a huge *NSYNC fan back in the day so I went here initially to see what my favorite boy band was up to. But JJB offers a lot more for readers-- book and sports discussions, TV shows, celebrity photos. I think there is an intriguing discussion for anybody in there teens- 20s.
A fashionista's heaven! I'm not THAT into fashion and I still enjoyed this site because it offers many approaches on fashion (not just ridiculous clothing on skin-and-bones models). Discussions on designers, collections, photography, accessories, and even carreer/education.
This site stands by its motto "everything. By everyone." Very creative and clever-- Politics, Arts, and Programming are a few examples of what this site offers.
You can search any city in the world! Whether you are planning a trip or curious about a certain city/country, this site has a lot of valuable information. Cool pictures from exotic places, good tips about going to foreign places. It's fun and realistic. A seemingly helpful forum.
Its got all the recent coupon codes you need for online shopping. Before making ANY online purchase, it doesn't hurt to check this site for possible savings. It's helped me save quite often.
I'm a movie buff so I love this site.
I find it so distracting when you are watching a movie and cannot remember where that actor is from!... so I search the movie on this site, look at the list of characters/actors, click on the actor I recognize then look at their acting history. (it's fun to see the acting history of a-list actors-- it may surprise you!)
I love looking at all the "famous quotes" from the movies I love too. For a good laugh :)
I love this site when I'm with a bunch of friends- partying or getting ready to go out. The site consists of thousands of great music playlists. I've discovered really good/rare songs on here.
My friends and I heard the Greatest Hits of the '90s and I've been obsessed ever since. I am really frustrated that it does not work during the summer—it says, "We'll be back in the fall, brah!'
Any good music sites I can use for the time being?
This has been really helpful for me. It shows the history of all my transactions so its made it easy for me to keep track of my spending. It shows the current balance of my checking and savings account too. Easy to make an online account and use.
I really like Wells Fargo. Great customer service and it is a trustworthy bank.
I love this site! It is perfect for when you are bored in class, at work, waiting, or trying to kill time. My friend and I would always play during our boring omis computer class.
They are timed tests on trivial topics like famous logos, Disney movies, or capitals and states… just took a fun one on cartoon silhouettes.
If you are curious about what is happening in Hollywood then this is the site to go to. Lots of short articles on famous people- pretty real news too, no nonsense or crazy/fake stories. I know People Magazine is considered tabloids but the writing is not trashy or over-dramatized like so many media outputs these days. People always has the best photos too.
Aimlessly clicking on the web finally pays off. You click a button and a donation is made. And now there are sponsors for breast cancer, animal rescue, and more.
LITERALLY THE EASIEST WAY TO HELP THOSE IN NEED-- it takes seconds.
Get quizzed on many educational topics while feeding the hungry! The quizzes are pretty fun and it is nice to see how many cups of rice you donate with every correct answer.
My books have always come in time- once a book I ordered was back-ordered therfore they ordered one for me on amazon.com. And if you keep the box they sent you, it is FREE (with really simple directions) to ship the books backs to Chegg.
Chegg also gives you a week after the quarter/semester is over to return them- definitely beats long lines at the bookstore during an already stressful finals week.
This is my FAVORITE music website.
Search and PLAY (without download) top songs by genre, artist, and album. Click to hear ANY song. And create a playlist with any songs you chose.
For those of you who like listening to a playlist of continuous songs and learning about the top songs out there, this site is very useful, simple, and accustomed to what you want.
I don't have a car at school and I miss the radio the most at home. I would always listen to great music as I drove in the past. But now I have Pandora.com on my computer all the time. Barely any commercials. They are really short too.
Pandora is like a never-ending playlist based on any artist or song you chose. It's awesome.
I am constantly on this site when class enrollment season rolls around. I go to a small college where often times many sections of the same class are offered. A lot of times college students can feel a bit lost when trying to put together the best schedule they can.
Ratemyprofessor.com helps me chose the teacher that best fits my needs. It is better than asking my fellow students about certain professors because often they do not know about specific professors, value different qualities in a professor, or may be trying to get in to the same class that I am (and therefore give false information to dissuade me from enrolling in to that class).
I ALWAYS search a prospective professor on this site before enrolling in to his/her class. That way, I can either avoid a bad teacher or if I have no other choice but to enroll in a tough class, I can at least prepare myself for a huge workload (and perhaps take easier classes to distress my school schedule).
I liked this site. Shipping seems to be a standard ground $4.99 rate and their selling things for good prices.
Same deal as groupon. Pretty good site for getting good deals.
I like all the options on this site like sorting by new deals, high/low price, or % off. You can also search the type of product you are looking for. They aren't THAT great of deals though, not like groupon... because it is based on discounts that the retailer have offered.
