Pretty cool site. I appreciate how the discussions are organized-- it's by electronic type like special deals, CD/DVD/Blu-ray, or General AV... and then after clicking on the type, you can view all of the discussions going on about it. Professional reviews on the homepage too.
A fashionista's heaven! I'm not THAT into fashion and I still enjoyed this site because it offers many approaches on fashion (not just ridiculous clothing on skin-and-bones models). Discussions on designers, collections, photography, accessories, and even carreer/education.
This site stands by its motto "everything. By everyone." Very creative and clever-- Politics, Arts, and Programming are a few examples of what this site offers.
You can search any city in the world! Whether you are planning a trip or curious about a certain city/country, this site has a lot of valuable information. Cool pictures from exotic places, good tips about going to foreign places. It's fun and realistic. A seemingly helpful forum.
Really interesting opinions on really interesting topics. Pretty intellectual approaches to issues like gay marriage, offshore drilling, and health care reform. Visually valuable with a count of which users oppose and support the issue, along with an associating map.
Its got all the recent coupon codes you need for online shopping. Before making ANY online purchase, it doesn't hurt to check this site for possible savings. It's helped me save quite often.
I'm a movie buff so I love this site.
I find it so distracting when you are watching a movie and cannot remember where that actor is from!... so I search the movie on this site, look at the list of characters/actors, click on the actor I recognize then look at their acting history. (it's fun to see the acting history of a-list actors-- it may surprise you!)
I love looking at all the "famous quotes" from the movies I love too. For a good laugh :)
I can't decide if I love or hate this site. I use to be addicted to it until I read a really mean and hateful article. And I decided not to support it for about a year. But best friend has been talking about Perez a lot so I started reading it now and then again. There is a lot of garbage—cattiness and obnoxiousness, but Perez does seem to be the FIRST to post stories that I will later hear on People.com.
Any other good celebrity news/gossip sites?
I love this site when I'm with a bunch of friends- partying or getting ready to go out. The site consists of thousands of great music playlists. I've discovered really good/rare songs on here.
My friends and I heard the Greatest Hits of the '90s and I've been obsessed ever since. I am really frustrated that it does not work during the summer—it says, "We'll be back in the fall, brah!'
Any good music sites I can use for the time being?
This has been really helpful for me. It shows the history of all my transactions so its made it easy for me to keep track of my spending. It shows the current balance of my checking and savings account too. Easy to make an online account and use.
I really like Wells Fargo. Great customer service and it is a trustworthy bank.
I love this site! It is perfect for when you are bored in class, at work, waiting, or trying to kill time. My friend and I would always play during our boring omis computer class.
They are timed tests on trivial topics like famous logos, Disney movies, or capitals and states… just took a fun one on cartoon silhouettes.
If you are curious about what is happening in Hollywood then this is the site to go to. Lots of short articles on famous people- pretty real news too, no nonsense or crazy/fake stories. I know People Magazine is considered tabloids but the writing is not trashy or over-dramatized like so many media outputs these days. People always has the best photos too.
I usually don't shop for clothes online. The clothes might seem beautiful online, but ugly in reality. Or sometimes they do not fit right.
However, I trust shop.nordstrom.com. Their clothes have good quality. I also love that they are trendy without trying too hard. (style should seem effortless)
The best part about shop.nordstrom.com is that you can return items at any local Nordstrom store.
If you are a Glee fan like me then you will love this site. Watch episodes and videos, browse red carpet photos, read gossip, and stay up to date with anything Glee. It's fun to see what the actors are up to. The articles are clever and short.
Some videos are posted but have "expired" so we can't view them which is annoying. I also wish it was updated more often.
The site makes it seem like they can show you every episode and movie ever made but that is not the case. Instead, it gives you many links to many other websites that have them... without knowing the quality/legitimacy of these sites. alluc.org has given me very blurry videos, many pop-up ads, and frustration with slow loading. I don't trust this site at all. Any better sites to use besides hulu.com?
Aimlessly clicking on the web finally pays off. You click a button and a donation is made. And now there are sponsors for breast cancer, animal rescue, and more.
LITERALLY THE EASIEST WAY TO HELP THOSE IN NEED-- it takes seconds.
Get quizzed on many educational topics while feeding the hungry! The quizzes are pretty fun and it is nice to see how many cups of rice you donate with every correct answer.
I have had good experiences using this site. Most of the listings provide more information about the rental then expected- with lots of pictures which was great.
I was trying to get a house in Santa Cruz for the weekend for about 10 friends with a lower price range and I was able to search by people, beds, and PRICE. But I have also stayed with family friends (who used vrbo.com) in an upscale condo in Mexico so I know vrbo.com offers rentals of all shapes and sizes.
The search options and contacting the owners is easy and convenient.
The best part about this site is that I never have to worry about pop-ups or possible viruses- which are often problems when using these type of websites. The videos load pretty fast too.
However, there could be a much larger selection and there are advertisement breaks.
Great site if you are looking for a house- especially in the Bay Area!
