I signed up for beenverified.com for the second time after I no longer needed it years ago. Right away I received the third degree as to why I wanted to run a criminal background check on some people. Here are some emails I have received from customer service:

Does this actually matter? I guess customer service has a need to know about the reason I was running the check. Why does beenverified.com offer this to customers and then have customer service interrogate you as to the reason you are wanting to know!

I am not using it for work. The option was there, I selected it. If BeenVerified.com didn't want people to select it, it shouldn't be an option.
I have no intention to do anything with the information.

Just cancel my membership which I was just charged for today. If I need the information, there are other ways to search for it and I won't receive the third degree for it. Thanks.

BE PREPARED FOR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT TO SEND YOU AN EMAIL IF YOU DARE SELECT TO RUN A BACKGROUND CHECK ON SOMEONE FOR CRIMINAL ACTIVITY, BANKRUPTCY, ETC. SMH! And I was going to pay $26.95 for this service and get interrogated! GIMME A BREAK!
This website is a joke! One can get this public information without paying for it if you know where to look.

I WOULD GIVE THIS SITE ZERO ZIP ZILCH NADA STARS IF THIS WAS AN OPTION.

I took my lawn mower in as the bolt broke off from the blade and the bolt was deep inside. I had to call and find out the update and the man in the service dept informed me I would either need to buy a new engine for my mower or just buy a new mower! WTH! The man sounded like he had a few screws loose himself! My husband and I picked it up, brought it home and he was able to remove the bolt himself and went to Lowe's and purchased 2 more bolts for a $1.00 and it was fixed! Northern Tools deserves NO STARS!
