Fingerhut credit is very cruel. I've been a loyal customer for about 4 years. I never missed a payment and a payment was never late on my account. Like a lot of people during the pandemic I fell on hard times. I missed a few payments. But I was contacted later and was told that if I paid $150 for 3 consecutive months it would get my account back on track. Well I did that only to bet told that I would not ever have an available credit line on my account. And would have to pay off the remaining balance. Once the remaining balance was paid I would have to close the account. Wait seven days and apply for a new credit account and there was no guarantee that I would be excepted.
Now if this is how Fingerhut treats loyal customers who suffered through a pandemic. Why would I reapply for another credit account once this one is paid off? Hell I'm sorry I ever became a customer in the first place! But I won't ever make that mistake again. And if you're smart you won't either. There policies and customer loyalty is horrible and so is their customer service.
