I am new to the bitcoin mining game, really new, started a few days ago. I ordered my first antminer s9 from coinmininghq right before Christmas. Paid for it using ethereum, i didn't have any, seemed a bit difficult to get it, exchanges and stuff but luckily a friend of mine had a decent amount of ETH and i bought from him at market rate. I received my s9 on the 27th - it was packed nicely, everything looked great. I plugged it in and set it up, only to find out that it was mining at 8.2 - 8.5 TH/s which was not good at all. I contacted coinmininghq and Andy told me to send it back, which i did next morning. I was already a bit angry coz it didn't work properly and i knew i had to wait a long time to get a new one back. My bitcoin mining journey didn't start well at all. But to my surprise, on Jan 3rd, early in the morning, i got a new s9 from the seller and this one ran as it should, around 13.2 - 13.5 TH/s.
Thank you Andy and coinmininghq guys for taking care of my issue with top priority, even if it was the holidays.
The miner is currently running in parameters, i'm getting around $23-25 per day (after just 2 days). The miner is EXTREMELY LOUD - i can't run it in the house, had to put in the garage. Produces a lot of heat (which is good for the garage in winter) but also you need some strong electrical wiring as it consumes quite a lot of power, and it does it continuously.
