WARNING: If you are looking for a company that takes pride in their products, will give impartial expert advice, good customer service and responsibility for what they sell, Furniture Village are not that company.

They employ incompetents like Homeserve Furniture Repairs, that are at best economical with the truth, not impartial and have problems with arithmetic.

I have to concur with the other negative reviews about Homeserve furniture repairs and only wish we had seen these negative reviews earlier.

We thought we were an isolated case, and typically British did not want to make a fuss.

We were led to believe by Furniture Village that Homeserve Furniture Repairs were impartial experts, and a bit like the Ombudsman. Nothing could be further from the truth and i now realise ours is not an isolated case.

It is quite unbelievable that they have got the contract servicing and repairing for so many companies, but if people carry on leaving these negative reviews, they won't have it for much longer.

We have found Homeserve furniture repairs and their engineer to be incompetent, their report misleading and at best, economical with the truth. Also have the photographs and reports to prove it.

Our report number is: *******

Please ask to see your report, we had not seen it during discussions with Luke the manger of Furniture Village Friern Barnet and Stevenage, The report was used as a verbal stick to beat us with.

We were a little bit intimidated at first but once we asked for a copy of the report (which is your right) we see how we were mislead and how inaccurate the report was, and have now taken the necessary steps with a reputable company to rectify this.

Really grateful to Sitejabber, Trustpilot and Google reviews and everyone that has taken the time and effort to write these reviews, warning others, regarding Homeserve furniture repairs so we can highlight these unethical practices, and hopefully put a stop to the misery caused by this type of scam.

REPLY TO HOMESERVE FURNITURE REPAIRS ON TRUSTPILOT REVIEW...

On Sitejabber reviews we can upload photographs and have uploaded the phots from Homeserve Furniture Repairs. The photos also show 14 slats missing from the pictures and 9cm gaps between not 7cm which is industry standards. Photographs do not lie, What do you say to that?

We are not alone, there are lots and lots of negative reviews about Homeserve Furniture Repairs, are we all wrong? The algorithms on your reviews show an abnormality, i would focus on that if i were you.

All reviewers need to do is Google the search term, Homeserve furniture repairs Scam, and they will find lots of reviews all outing you for being incompetent scoundrels. They can also Google the search term, Homeserve furniture repairs scam, money saving expert, for the truth about Homeserve Furniture Repairs.

The images show 13 slats on our bed base x 2, but 20 each side on the picture advertising our bed on the Furniture Village website. Thats a total of 14 slats missing and 9cm gaps not 7cm. The pictures also show this, so do your maths or ask someone that can.

We only want what we paid for, nothing more.

We willingly paid a premium when shopping at Furniture Village mistakenly thinking we would get sound impartial advice, access to quality products and peace of mind, should something go wrong.

Instead we got you?

Tip for consumers:
Do not trust or respect the Homeserve furniture repairs report, they are not impartial and our report has been amended twice, and soon the be three times. If you are unhappy take them to task. Don't be fooled into thinking they are the ombudsman.

Nothing of the sort.

We purchased a Cheltenham Bedstead in 2017.

Within a year we had problems and blamed the Hypnos mattress, Hypnos commissioned a report by Home serve furniture repairs and it blamed the Bedstead that we purchased from furniture village. We looked at pictures of the bedstead on Furniture Village website and realised there were more slats on it than ours, in total there were 14 slats missing from our bedstead, and the gaps in between the slatted base were 9cm apart not what was advertised on the Furniture Village website.

Now home serve furniture repairs come out but this time for Furniture Village and this time they find invalid claim, even though we have the first report saying it's the slatted base?

So we have been sold a bed with 14 slats missing, and the gap in between each slat is 9cm two above the industry guidelines, warned by Furniture Village not to buy a base with these 9cm slats but sold the slatted base by them ignoring their own advice on their website. And we are in the wrong?

The only mistake we made were trusting Furniture Village and homeserve furniture repairs.

I only wish we had read all the negative reviews before hand and listened to them.

Below in the photos you will see the base they sold us and a photo right above it wit the slatted base advertised on the website with 14 slats missing, next one is 9cm gaps in between the slats when the furniture village website warn not to buy a slatted base with more than 7cm gap, yet they still sold us one with a 9cm gap. The mind boggles, really?
