Collated 6 parcels shipped from the US to the UK by DHL. Borderlinx kept me on live chat for over 2 hours with false promises and then refused to cancel my order Stating it had been shipped while I was on Live Chat (this was no co-incidence it was there tactic to charge me £300+ for a £50 Shipping service without allowing me to pay the $20 cancellation fee which is obviously not in their interest).
They also did not answer any of the queries I asked during live chat and stated they would send me the DHL invoice as proof and a Manager would phone me the following Day (no proof and no phone call was received), Following my complaint they continued to ignore the questions in the 20+ Emails I sent them of which in every message I asked for the governing body to complain about them and every time they ignored giving me this info and simply kept repeating the same pile of rubbish (if anybody knows how I can complain against these legally then let me know)
They charged me over £300 to ship 6 parcels in one batch by DHL which if I used DHL myself would have cost not even £50. (The Combined Parcels weighed LESS THAN 5kg). As soon as I realised this extortionate shipping costs they had not shipped my parcels and rushed them out while I was online rather than allow me to pay a $20 cancellation fee and send the items back to the Ebay Sellers in the USA.
After 10 years or trading with thousands or people and industries worldwide online, I can honestly say Borderlinx is the Worst company I have ever encountered and believe the authorities should look into there illegal behaviour and disgusting customer services. Do not use them under any circumstances. I had no problem paying the £50 Import taxes however disagree sending a set of parcels weighing less than 5kg costs anywhere near £300 shipping costs for a 5 day delivery. (Volumetric Weight is no excuse Boderlinx before you use this one again on Here)
Borderlinx = Unclear, Untrustworthy, Unreliable.
Whatever excuse they reply with underneath will not justify their behaviour especially as they REFUSE to tell anybody the legal governing body to complain about them officially... They have an opportunity to write this below now, However they won't which goes a long way to prove any new customers should not use then under any circumstances.
Update. My point proven exactly. Borderlinx respond below with nonsense and as I stated no name or details of the authority to officially complain about them. And the truth is my order was NOT dispatched when I asked for a cancellation. All potential Borderlinx customers read all the reviews on Sitejabber and you can make your own mind up on how transparent there fees and disgusting customer service is and every customer should realise there is never a correct breakdown of any shipment until Borderlinx have you items and at that point they hold you to ransom... £300+ FOR A 5KG SHIPMENT from the US to the UK, Hiding behind your hidden terms and condition will never justify companies bahavioue which can only be described as Fraud.
Finally when a Customer asks a Company to which governing body they can complain about there services is it not Illegal too not provide this information?
Hello Mick,
I looked at the discussion you had with our chat agents and you had left abruptly before our agent could discuss other options with you.
Our policy of refusing to ship to other forwarders is not uncommon: many other forwarders share the same or have a similar policy. When our chat agent said "if the other companies are perfect..." this was not meant as a rude response. They were trying to figure out what the benefit of the other company was so they could trying to determine what could be done here to bridge any gap. We always want to provide the best service when possible, and I understand that your situation of having multiple items at different locations could be frustrating. Allowing people to ship anywhere opens our business up to people that may ship to multiple forwarders as means to obfuscate their paper trail. As we do not want to help facilitate fraudulent activity, we have to screen addresses being added by our customers.
All businesses that provide a service have Terms and Conditions. This is not something we hide behind and all users agree to (and are recommended to read) them on our registration page. The link to our Terms and Conditions is here: https://customer.vykingship.com/portal/account/termsofuse.aspx. Per said Terms and Conditions, we note that we will not approve any shipping addresses to other forwarding companies.
I apologize for the inconvenience you have had thus far using our site. If you get back in contact with us we are happy to explore other options for consolidating your goods.
