My wife signed up for an introductory special which has been a huge disappointment for a number of reasons: (1) she changed her mind but was told it was too late (same day) to cancel the first shipment; (2) delivery driver left it on our front steps@ -30 temp so all of the fresh veggies were ruined and HelloFresh cancelled the $25 charge; (3) wife reiterated that we didn't want their service and were again told it was too late to cancel the next shipment; (4) the second package of 3 meals ($55 but HelloFresh cancelled the charge) contained marginal quality veggies — one meal included 2 small, limp carrots that we had to replace; (5) the package of 3 meals works out to over $18 per meal which actually contain less than $8 worth of food in each package; (6) a HUGE amount of packaging is used (do we really need to be supplied 1 tbsp of flour in a throwaway package?).

Tip for consumers:
Don't.

I only wish SiteJabber would allow "0 stars as "1" is being too kind. Back in 2020 I tried to be removed from Bauer's email list. What should be a simple click on the "Unsubscribe link" in their email (which doesn't actually complete the request, instead it produces a little "spinner" that goes round... and round... and round...). My next attempt was through their chat-line where I was assured that I would be removed. When that didn't work I followed up with an email with the date and name of the person I had talked to and was again assured that I'd be removed. Now, months and countless emails later (each one assuring me that I will be removed), I continue to receive these unwanted messages numerous times per week. I now forward these emails to the SPAM reporting authorities in both Canada and the USA in addition to SpamCop and have told Bauer that they have lost me as a customer forever.

We love Acorn's programs despite Acorn's apparent inability to provide a platform on which to reliably watch them. We have no technical issues at our end: high speed internet & WiFi are both 100% reliable, Netflix works with never an issue. Acorn, on the other hand, is a technoligical joke: we have to reboot our Apple TV several times a week (just to get Acorn to work) and have to repeatedly Sign In to Acorn because they've "lost us". Acorn tech support is a joke often more than a day to get a response which usually tells us to reboot Apple TV, etc. which we've already attempted multiple times. Our latest frustration is having shows simply disappear: yesterday "A Place to Call Home" disappeared from the Acorn site. We're in the middle of the third of the five series and yet another email to Acorn after trying a "Search" on Acorn which responds thats there's no such show or episodes.

Absolutely abysmal service to Canada when our family near Bristol shipped our Christmas present using Parcel2Go. First, it took over a week to actually leave England after it was picked up. Second, it never arrived on/by the promised delivery date of Dec. 22. Third, when we finally received it on Dec. 28 we had to pay an additional $12.24 CAD "ransom" to actually get it. How do I claim a refund for the additional charge?

After monumental frustrations trying to get ExpressVPN to work on our AppleTV 4 I decided to try NordVPN. Unfortunately, NordVPN doesn't work on AppleTV and/or our ISP-supplied router. Unlike ExpressVPN, Nord has a live chat-line which confirmed the problem & completed a refund within a couple of minutes.

Despite being within the "30 day free trial period" three email requests to remove a 1-yr subscription charge to our credit card were ignored. Out of frustration I contacted our credit card folks and requested a "chargeback" against ExpressVPN and also sent a 4th email to ExpressVPN this one with the header "Without Prejudice". Six hours later the charge was refunded.

Sept. 24 Update: Despite ExpressVPN's claim to offer a 30-day Moneyback Policy they have just charged our credit card for a full year. We've notified our card company & I just sent the following message to ExpressVPN via their website:

"WITHOUT PREJUDICE

Re: Billed for services not received

From the very first day of attempting to install ExpressVPN on our AppleTV box I have encountered nothing but problems and ExpressVPN has never worked. Despite several messages to ExpressVPN advising you that I would not be installing/using Express VPN and instructing you to cancel the subscription and any bills you have charged an entire year's service to our credit card. I have filed a formal complaint with our credit card company and have requested that they issue a "chargeback" against ExpressVPN."

RANT OF THE WEEK in response to a Customer Satisfaction re: issues with trying to install ExpressVPN on our AppleTV:

Absolutely NO USEFUL support provided. When we could not get ExpressVPN to work on our AppleTV 4 I tried contacting support only to discover that all I could do is send an email enquiry which would be answered sometime in the future hardly convenient or helpful. Your online tutorials are confusing & sometimes contradictory and provided no meaningful help. Eventually after several emails I was told to contact your Live Chat at the provided link except there was no link in the email. When I pointed that out in yet another email I was told that if I couldn't see the link then all the Chat lines were full and to send an enquiry by email. ARE YOU KIDDING? Over a week of screwing around with your absolutely rubbish service; we want an immediate refund/cancellation of the charge on our credit card.

If you're being improperly billed by Acorn simply contact your Credit Card company; they will issue a "Chargeback" against Acorn and you'll get a refund.
