I ordered a Versace set early August and paid the deposit. Now mid December and nothing, including no responses from the business. I needed it for an event which was totally missed. I had to rent dinnerware. I also can no longer dispute the transaction on the credit card. It was over $1000 paid. They are crooks 100%.

  • REVOLVE

The best ecommerce site for women's apparel and accessories. And they only continue to improve and make things even better. Revolve is hands-down the most customer friendly online retailer I have dealt with. I will always purchase from Revolve if it's available, even if at another retailer cheaper. The current pros:

- Excellent returns policy. They even made an exception for me beyond the 60 days once.
- Online chat is quick and solves any issues without calling. (Calling is good too!)
- Shipping is so fast and you get the UPS live tracking where you can see where the package is on delivery day.
- Online exchanges such that your new size can be reserved and held for you while you send the wrong size back. (this is so rare!)
- 30 day price match with any retailer!
- "house" brands, high end brands, and lower level brands. They have all the price points. I believe FWRD by Elyse Walker is the same company which has even more bangin' stuff ($$$$$) with similar policies.
- no sales tax for me!

The eh's:
- I am not a fan of the house brands as I feel like they are cheaply made with high price tags for the quality.
- Things don't really go on sale with the same pattern that they do at other retailers (i. E., with the seasons)
- Revolve doesn't have all the same cool, small brands that ShopBop does (especially european stuff)
- Larger sizes are not always sold on Revolve despite being available by the designer.
- The influencer "thing" is fine, I get it, but it's a little extreme now and honestly kinda annoying. And get some normal size models. ShopBop recently took this step and it's a nice addition.

I've been a very loyal customer for over 10 years with Revolve. I spend a ton of money there, maybe they are just good to me, but boy are they really good. Any similar online retailer should look to Revolve as a model. Just look at their record profits over the last 10 years, it's crazy!

I've only ordered from them three times but everything worked out fine for me with shipment to the US. No extra customs hold ups, no duties due, no delays. I have not tried to return anything, however.

I've had good experiences shopping here. Nothing over the top amazing but nothing bad either. Their website isn't spectacular and I hate all the photos of celebrities wearing stuff but, whatev. I usually find something somewhere else then see it on sale here and buy it.

I am a reluctant shopper of NM and continue to be because I generally buy what they sell and sometimes it has the best deal (not often). They also have great Christmas decor. My friend works locally at a NM so I also try to support. All that said, their customer service for online retail is SO BAD. It's been bad for years and doesn't improve.

I don't have a single episode to recount but there have been multiple "problems" with my orders at both NM, Horchow, and Bergdorf Goodman. Also, when I try to call and get help about a product, it sounds as if the person is reading off a cue card and cannot answer or agree with me on basic things. For example, a shoe size 41 - is NM equating that to a 10 or 11, and they act like I'm speaking another language. This is NOT high end shopping whatsoever.

I've had shipping delays, failed attempts to price match, randomly cancelled items. These are not $50 orders... these are sometimes $1000 orders and deserve much better service and communication. At one point I had FIVE MONTHS of trying to get a refund for an item I returned that NM said they never got (even though they refunded the other item in the box). I had to do a credit card dispute to which NM fought that too! All over $150. I said "either send me the item back or give me the refund." After 5 months and about 30 calls, I got my refund. You're fighting me over $150 for an item I did return when I spend tens of thousands there a year?

It seems as though NM has tried to change their game a bit recently but it continues to fall short. Wait times on the phone or chat are extremely long; the link to "customer service" on their site is down and I have to find their number elsewhere, etc.

There are great examples of online retail out there. Revolve Clothing and ShopBop come to mind.

I've order many times from Matches Fashion. Note that it says "duties included". Once you reach a certain $ level in your cart, you can either prepay duties or pay them on receipt. Here is where you notice what the duties charged actually are. Problem is, for less than $800 USD, there are no duties to the US. I emailed MatchesFashion to ask why they are charging duties when none are due below $800 and they never responded. Thieves.
