My husband and I were searching the internet because we wanted to buy a reclaimed barn wood farm table with SPECIFIC dimensions of 36" wide x 7 feet long. After extensive searches we chose to order with www.amerheritage.com because they offered the customization we wanted and the type of table. We ordered it, and were told it would take about six weeks. After two months, we finally received the table, and it was the wrong dimensions. We emailed the company to tell them of their error, and they claimed that they told us that our table could not be made 36" wide. Why would we continue with a "custom" order if it were not possible for the company to "customize" it to our dimensions? We wouldn't! If we had been told ONE time that it could not have been done in our dimensions we would have ordered from someone else! We discovered through computer technology that the company had modified its web page the very next morning after we communicated by email of their huge mistake! When we received our table there was a packing slip taped to the top of it with our original dimensions on it. The packing slip also had their letterhead on it. We emailed them a picture of the packing slip, and they have not responded to that email as well. We contacted the BBB and filed a complaint. The BBB has contacted us to let us know that amerheritage did NOT respond. While we were on the BBB we noticed that another family had a very similar complaint as ours, and they challenged the charge from amerheritage. Amerheritage gave fraudulent information to their bank.
