It seems that this company has a rather bad reputation for enforcing their auto renewal even when you inform them promptly less than 30 days from their invoice.
They also say in their defence that "We also send a reminder email 30 days before the next renewal date of your plan,..." NO THEY DON'T. The first time you find out is when your card has been debited... or in my case when the request for payment failed due to an expired card.
The tool was not used in the last 12 months so why would I allow an auto renewal?... despite explaining this I just received Very terse responses to my emails.
It seems that others have had a similar experience with QR Code-generator.com... KEEP WELL CLEAR

In order to cancel your plan, you can send us a cancellation request up to a day before your plan is due to be renewed. If we do not receive a request, your subscription is auto-renewed. This is outlined in our terms and conditions, which we require all customers to read when they sign up.
As you mentioned, we always send a reminder email to let customers know their plan is due to be renewed. Unfortunately things like spam filters can sometimes get in the way, which is not something we have control over.
