I tried to open up an account after being provided with a referral from a client where we both received a £50 referral fee.
The link didn't work and earlier research left some internet research site with the referral fees.
After putting that aside and telling my client that I would recompense him, I moved past that only to find out that the app doesn't read the QR code properly on the paperwork provided, so I can't open the app.

I now have an inactivated card and a bank account that I can only pay money into and have their fees withdrawn from.
I thought that I'd requested information.
I didn't even know I'd actually opened an account with no ID, signature or any depth of information.

Terrible start with this bank. I would advise new businesses to stay well clear.

Tip for consumers:
Don't bother. Use Tide Bank Instead. Lower charges and better servicing.

Ebuyer are very competitive for electronics and especially computer hardware.
They deliver fast (quite often next day, even though I'd paid for free delivery) and they are reliable.
On the one or two occasions, where an item failed to work, the free returns were easy to do and I hate doing returns.

A low cost holiday site that sells cheap holidays and appears competitive in that regard.
However, they didn't have any rooms for any of the hotels which had better ratings on Tripadvisor and so if you are looking for a quality holiday you probably have to look elsewhere.

I rang them up anyway to see if I could get a holiday in a Hotel recommended by a friend in Alcudia. I messaged them first and was provided with a number for their 'Majorca specialist'

This specialist said there was no rooms in that Hotel left and tried to push me towards a cancellation in a different hotel, the Blue Sea Playa Hotel, which had below average reviews on Tripadvisor.
I have since booked one of 4 rooms available via Jet2 holidays, for the same hotel.

He didn't want to give me a chance to think about it and claimed he didn't have email facilities, so couldn't send me a copy of the offer. Meanwhile the office where he worked sounded like it was full of a bunch of shouting teenagers. He also gave me the hard sell that this offer was only available for today and even after I said I wouldn't make any booking until the following day, he rang my phone a number of times with more sales patter.

(icelolly.com have since told me that their "Majorca Specialist" had nothing to do with them and it was an independent company. However, this "independent company" started harassing me over a review that I did for icelolly.com and not their own company?)

So in short cheap site, don't bother ringing them up though, unless you like winding car salesmen for fun.

I found this reasonably easy to use to book a flight and hotel some while ago.
However, it did almost allow me to book connecting flights at Heathrow with Terminals that were miles apart and impossible to board. Hence this put me off a little as I would have lost my money, missed my flight and been stranded in London.
I hope they have protection against this now, as it put me off a lot.

You get some great deals, great quality products and usually with a good warranty and a no quibble return.
Same online purchases can't be picked up and returned to the Costco shops though.

Trustpilot was well advertised but it's most likely most of that advertising comes from charging the companies reviewed which if correct would lead to a large conflict of interest.

Certainly when Sammydress.com failed to provide the goods or a full refund, Trustpilot did everything they could to take down my negative review of them. Reviews of the company on independent sites was very low and was filled with unhappy customers whilst Trustpilot had 4 to 5 stars for the company.

The reviewed company constantly sniped at the review, which I had to change because it didn't meet their rules on format, then wasn't linked to an order, then didn't have documentary proof and then they took it down anyway.

They also insisted on having me provide personal data, even though they aren't registered in the UK as a data controller and hide behind weaker protection of the Danish system.

If all negative reviews are deleted then the site is of little use.
They were also reported in several papers to be constantly abused by fake reviews of companies to bolster there rating illegitimately.

Groupon has some great deals.
Although generally you can get similar deals from Wowcher and other coupon providers.
Of course you buy a voucher and so if you have problem with the service or product, that's really between you and the provider as I have found out on a couple of occasions.

The biggest problem is their lack of acknowledgement when something goes wrong.
Last week someone was able to use my Groupon account to gift 11 coupons worth almost £600 from my account and the thief was able to redeem one of the vouchers the same day. These were charged immediately to my credit card.

Now although during a 2 hour chat, their representative Weronika, was able to cancel the vouchers which hadn't been redeemed, it was still hours of my working day and I wonder what would have happened had I been on holiday?

I would advise that anyone that uses Groupon do not link a credit card to your account as it was charged straight to my credit card and took a fair while to refund, during which my credit card could have been settled and I could have been made overdrawn at my bank.

My biggest concern is that Groupon haven't kept any of their promises to get back to me to a: re-assure me it won't happen again and b: Explain to me why their security was so lax in the first place.
I have now been locked out of my account and I can't reset the password.

Hence my biggest concern is that this was an internal mis-use, they don't want to share the information about what happened and they are covering up for someone. In short the company has poor security and processes that could cost their users dearly.

Avoid these like the plague. My order never arrived. They gave me a 4 month runaround full of platitudes, before I spread the word on review sites and they eventually refunded HALF of my money less P&P. Horrible experience. No idea where my delivery went and there is no tracking. I notice that this site has a very similar name and bad reviews as NastyDress.com. They must be linked?

Tip for consumers:
If you've ordered from these and it's not arrived in 4 weeks, file a complaint with PayPal or your card company and don't make the mistake of accepting there broken promises for another 3 months like I did.
