This is a great site for language translation in almost infinite combinations. And the best part is it supports mobile devices so you can use this site from your phone!
I think Fackbook is great. It allows me to keep my friends up to date about my life in one easy place. It has allowed me to connect with many people from my youth that I lost contact with. It is a great help.
By far my favorite Linux distribution. This is a great Linux for a newcomer to start with and stick with. It doesn't get simpler than Ubuntu and it is a fully mature operating system. Suitable for all uses.
This is one of my favorite sites to keep up with Linux news. I enjoy the variety of news I get from it. A great site to follow.
I think this is a great web site. Don't let the name scare you away. Yes it is marketed to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but it is suitable for anyone that wants the help with keeping a journal. The thing that makes this site so awesome to me, is that they will print and bind your journal into a book for you. My plan is to have my journal printed at the end of each year. I think this will be the only way I will manage to faithfully write in my journal.
Another great web site for teachers to find open education resources.
This site invites educators and professionals from all over to help create a complete collection of open source curricula for use in public and private schools. This idea can solve so many problems. The first is cost to school systems. With everyone together contributing to make fantastic curricula we can create textbooks at a fraction of the cost. Then we can distribute them in the format that meets our needs (printed or electronic). The second problem this can solve is that of heavy book bags. The size, weight, and number of books that my children have to carry each day is out of control. This will allow me to have copies of their textbooks at home so they don't have to bring them back and forth. We can offer a printed copy of the book in the classroom and an electronic copy at home. The possibilities are endless.
This site is awesome for a web developer. It allows you to see what your pages will look like across different browsers and different operating systems. It will even allow you look at them in specific screen sizes and color depths. Overall a very helpful tool.
I have found this site to be very useful in learning what downloads are out there. Many times there is already a solution available but finding it is the hard part. This site provides a central location to learn about and download freeware and shareware.
Awesome! Need I say anything more?
This website offers a great plug-in for Firefox and Internet Explorer. I am a computer programmer and I end up using lots of different computers. This tool allows me to synchronize my bookmarks on all the computers I use. It is a great tool.
This site is great at help a person new to Linux to create a bootable pen drive (usb drive) that they can then use to boot their computer and test drive a flavor of Linux without actually installing it on the computer. Even if you never plan to use Linux this is a lot of fun to try.
A great place to fine swag for your Gnome (Linux) desktop! A must see!
This is an excellent to go to for news you can use about Ubuntu. The author covers many solutions to common needs and wants. He gives clear instructions and has taken the risk for users by going down the road before you. If you are interested in Ubuntu this site is a great place to learn something new and to benefit from someone else's experience.
This site is an excellent place to learn about my faith. It provides detailed information and is full of resources for members of the church. Many free inspiring downloads can be found. If you are a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints this is a great resource. If you are not a member but would like to learn more, then this is a great starting place.
