I ordered this dress on sale 4 months ago for the summer and after 2 months of waiting I asked for refunds but Verge told me to wait. Two months later the parcel arrived... with more money to pay! They don't tell you that customs duties are not included, so I had to pay more than half of the price of the dress in taxes. NEVER BUY on Verge Girl if you are not Australian, even if items are on sale! Trust me. Worst purchase EVER. I have never experienced this before even if I often order foreign items.

We are very sorry to hear this. We are really sorry, however unfortunately we have no control over import duties and taxes as these fees are decided by your country and are not decided by us. These fees are different to the shipping costs and are decided by your country when your order arrives into customs and are based on the value of the goods. The best thing to do is to check with your country's customs as they will be able to let you know how these fees are decided.
We do state on our website that payable import duties are the responsibility of the customer. This is stated on our Shipping and Delivery page on the website, which you can view here: https://www.vergegirl.com/pages/shipping-delivery.
We are also very sorry about the current delays due to COVID-19. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 there are significant delays on parcels shipped internationally with standard post. The postal services have advised that there are delivery delays due to reduction in air freight capacity and passenger flights (which also carry parcels), a significant increase in parcels volumes, many which require manual sorting, hygiene and social distancing requirements (such as social distancing through zoning, dedicated shift start times to reduce cross over of workers). We have had this information on our website for the duration of the delays.
