This business claims to connect people in need of errands to people who will do the errand running. They charge a monthly membership of $11.99 per month or $39 for the year. I received and email Nov 5th stating they were offering a *free* 2 week trial. I signed up the same day to be an errand runner. Nothing happened. It was crickets. I was not contacted by any clients in need of errand running and there was simply zero volume and zero work/errands to be hired for. Maybe they are just new and just starting out not enough people are signed up or something (odd for a larger city like Chicago) but hey, it can happen as a new business I figured. No harm, no foul right? Nope. Wrong. On the last day of my free trial, Nov 19th, I went on to the website under my account and cancelled my membership so that I would not be charged. I proceeded to email "Rita" who emailed me about the free trial, to notify her I canceled because the platform failed to deliver on its promise and service and asked her to confirm with her my cancellation went through successfully. Sure enough the following day, right after, the 14th day, post "free trial" they took $11.99 from my account. She said that the charge was valid and refused a refund multiple times through multiple email requests. I requested to talk to her supervisor via phone call and I was told they have no call center. Pretty convenient. Basically, even if you cancel your "free" trial on time they will still charge you and it's not actually free. DON'T BELIEVE THE CLAIMS. Even if you tell them how dissatisfied you are and how disappointed you are that errandpals fails to deliver the service they say they will, they will still not refund you. They expect to charge you without providing the service they promise and that you won't take any action for being swindled out of $11.99. Too bad I'm not the one. I have taken this seriously to prevent others going through what I went through and to warn of their failure to deliver, fraudulent charges and terrible treatment of their first time customer users. This has been reported to the FTC and BBB. If you have had a similar experience please report to these same authorities to shut this business down.
